The real birthplace of the hamburger isn’t a myth — it’s in New Haven, CT. Since 1895, Louis' Lunch has been serving the original hamburger exactly the way it was invented: flame-broiled on 126-year-old vertical cast-iron grills, served on toasted white bread (no bun!), with only cheese, tomato, and onion allowed. No ketchup. No mustard. Just pure burger history in every bite. This tiny brick building is a true American icon and a must-visit for any food lover exploring Connecticut. Have you tried the original hamburger yet?
