Took the 26/27.5 mullet Surge Evo to some spicy tech. I swapped out 2.25in rear WTB Trail Boss for a 2.4in Maxxis Ardent setup tubeless. A bit of rough go today but I was playing on the spiciest bits of trail that I am not too familiarwith. Snapped these pics as the sun was setting. I'll be back at it after my brain processes the experience and I get a good stretch.

New helmet day! Just got the Smith Pilot helmet for a sub-$100 lid, this thing feels surprisingly premium right out of the box. The biggest win so far is the fit. It has a smaller profile so you avoid that giant mushroom-head look, but it still comes with MIPS which is a must.

Am I the only one that gets excited for new tires? The Vittoria Mezcal XC Race Tire uses a tightly packed center tread for low rolling resistance with stepped side k***s for cornering support. The XC Race casing makes the ultra lightweight while the graphene-infused rubber compound balances durability and grip. A fast setup for hardpack, dry, and mixed XC terrain. 🚵‍♂️ Can't wait to set these up!
