Little Serena would never believe that I got to play a small part in Madonna’s opening number at the VMAs last night. ✨

When I was a little girl, my best friend Kari and I would dance around her room listening to Madonna. She was such an icon to us—and honestly, still is.

To somehow find myself all these years later, working behind the scenes and getting to be in her presence this week was one of those surreal little life moments where you think… how did I get here?!

And I’m so happy to report that her team was genuinely one of the loveliest groups of fashion girls I’ve ever worked with. Kind, welcoming, talented and just so much fun to be around.

Very, very grateful I got to play even a tiny part in such an iconic moment. ❤️

Happy 23rd Anniversary, Mom & Scott. 🤍

Twenty-three years ago, we gathered at my grandma’s beautiful home in New Mexico to celebrate two people choosing each other. I was in my early twenties, and I don’t think I fully understood then what a gift it was to watch our family become a blended one.

Looking back at these photos, my heart is full. So many of the precious faces in our family portrait are no longer with us, making these images even more priceless. I’m endlessly thankful we have this moment frozen in time—a day filled with laughter, dogs running around stealing the spotlight and the steaks, and the people who shaped our family.

And can we talk about the fashion? My mom designed her own seafoam strapless gown, and together she and my aunt created my grandmother’s elegant lavender dress. Aunt June’s chartreuse dress with its whimsical feathered underlay was unforgettable. I loved my blush pink BCBG dress, and together we looked like the happiest little basket of Easter eggs. Looking back now, I love that everyone wore something that reflected their own personality. It made the day feel even more special.

As Kevin and I begin planning our own wedding, I find myself coming back to these photos. I see what really matters: a marriage built to last, family gathered close, and love that only grows richer with time. My prayer is that our wedding is surrounded by that same kind of love—and that, decades from now, we’ll look back on our own family photos with the same gratitude.

Happy Anniversary, Mom & Scott. Thank you for showing me what choosing each other, and choosing family, looks like. I love you both so very much. 🤍✨

There is something so incredibly special about this season of life 🤍

Spending time with my yogis—especially my mamas-to-be—always feels like such a gift. The strength, softness, and quiet power of the female body during pregnancy is just… everything. It’s a moment that deserves to be honored, slowed down, and captured with intention.

This session almost didn’t happen the way we planned. Sunday had been forecasted with rain for weeks, and Jennifer and I decided we were going to trust it—rain or shine. The night before, I told her if it was truly pouring, we’d reschedule… but something told me to hold steady.

That morning, I left the house under gray skies, and as I got onto the 10, the rain absolutely dumped—like, comically pouring—and I thought, “Oh no… I’ve made the wrong call.” But as I kept driving west, I saw the smallest sliver of blue sky hanging over Malibu… and I just knew it was going to be okay.

And it was ✨

There’s something so powerful about trusting your gut, your instincts, and having faith that things will unfold exactly as they’re meant to.

Jennifer, thank you for trusting me with your vision and for sharing your beautiful yoga practice with me. It was such an honor to document this chapter for you.

We shot this beach yoga maternity session at Point Dume in Malibu, and it truly couldn’t have been a more perfect morning—soft light, calm energy, and so much beauty all around 🤍

Feeling so grateful to do what I do and to witness these moments as they unfold.
