BCM For over 33 years, BCM has been the go-to resource for Vehicle Conversion Tribal Knowledge. We will teach you how to live the dream.

BCM provides weekly articles for people who want to work in a mobile office and enjoy a life of traveling and the outdoors. It is for parents who are interested in homeschooling their children and retirees who want to travel, visit their children and grandchildren, and enjoy warmer climates year-round. BCM provides the knowledge of establishing a lifestyle with a mobile office where you can have a

different outside view as often as you like. Today, with the abundance of internet connectivity, everyone can take advantage of staying connected with friends and business customers while traveling. Now you can set your own schedule while working and enjoying the pleasures of the outdoors while traveling and seeing the world. BCM is for parents who want to homeschool their children while allowing them to “experience” the world and visit the historic landmarks and parks around the country where they are studying at the time. Children learn a lot from a book, but to actually experience the destinations written about in a book is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Your children will be more well-rounded if they experience what others only read about in a classroom environment. BCM is for retirees who want to travel and enjoy life while visiting friends, parents, children, and grandchildren, while also sharing the experience with them and having the freedom to travel and live in the geographical climate based on the time of year. BCM is for the young and old who want to simplify their life, reduce expenses, and have the ability and the freedom to travel the world. Many people are able to cut costs by living in a bus conversion so they can afford to travel to and experience other countries as well. Bottom line, BCM will teach you how to live the life many people only dream of. Each month, we publish a feature article showing off someone’s converted bus, including photos, specifications, and unique features, and the people and their story behind it. They show us how they converted their bus and provide tips and techniques on what works best for them. Learning from other people’s mistakes may save you thousands of dollars in the long run when converting a bus. There are articles on the safe use and maintenance of these tiny homes on wheels and tips for buying, selling, or selecting a bus for converting into an RV. We also include travel stories from people sharing information and photos of great travel destinations that are bus conversion-friendly. BCM has a classified ad section featuring conversion shells, professionally converted coaches, owner converted coaches, and seated buses to choose from. We also have a very active online Forum that exceeds 25 million page views per year, where owners of all experience levels discuss their conversions. We offer several E-books for everything you need to know about converting a bus into a home on wheels which include; wiring, cabinet making, plumbing, and much more, included with your subscription. We have Technical Manuals for your bus; including engine and transmission owners and maintenance manuals that you can order in a hard copy, on a thumb drive, or CD for a reasonable fee. BCM is a one-stop location for all your bus conversion needs, including a list of all bus-related events around the country as well as websites and YouTube channels worth checking out.

First Wide Body Eagle Bus in the U.S.

In the article "First Wide Body Eagle Bus in the U.S.," Gary Hatt chronicles his journey with a rare 1967 Eagle Model 03 bus, the first wide-body model built for the U.S. market. This 40-foot, two-axle bus was designed to gauge the reception of wider buses in North America. Despite initial legal restrictions on wide-body vehicles, the Eagle Model 03 eventually became a sought-after platform for bus conversions due to its spacious design and smooth ride.

Gary’s detailed account highlights the bus's unique features, including its torsilastic suspension, expansive luggage bays, and the extensive conversion work that transformed it into a luxurious mobile living space. After owning and traveling in this bus for ten years, this awesome bus is now for sale.

This 1967 Eagle is still for sale. I have lived in this bus full-time for over ten years, and it has traveled coast-to-coast several times without issue.

It is now in Mohave, Arizona, and then the bus will be in Quartzsite in about a week for the Big RV show and a bus conversion gathering.

This photo shows how well Eagle buses are built. I piled tons of rocks on the roof to show you how strong the Eagle buses' roofs are. Don't try this with a Stick-N-Staple motorhome; there will be nothing left of it.

For more information about this incredible historic bus conversion, click on the link below. It is priced for a quick sale at only $49,995.

How about traveling the country in this 4-cylinder-powered rig?

This is a 1951 Pathé-Marconi Superbus - a unique, iconic promotional vehicle.

The Pathé-Marconi Superbus, nicknamed "The Ambassador," was an innovative mobile showroom and entertainment vehicle, designed by Philippe Charbonneaux (creator of the Renault 16) for the French music company Pathé-Marconi, and built based upon a Panhard Levassor K185 tractor unit powered by a 4-cyl 6785cc diesel (100hp) engine with a 5-speed manual transmission.

This legendary bus was equipped with cutting-edge technology and luxurious interiors, featuring a unique hydraulic roof that transformed into an open-air stage for promoting records, radios, and TVs.

It was used as a promotional vehicle during the Tour de France. At the end of each stage, concerts were organized around the bus (performing artists included Edith Piaf and Yvette Horner) while guests were entertained in an on-board bar.

After its promotional years, it was sold off in the late 1950s, passed through various owners for 30 years, until a complete restoration in 1990.

It's now preserved as a rare surviving example of 1950s mobile advertising and post-war French innovation, housed at the transport conservatory of the autocars anchin de France association in Wisenborg.

When it comes to keeping your DIY bus, van, or truck conversion comfortable year-round, choosing the right mini-split system may be one of the most significant decisions you’ll make. Unlike traditional rooftop A/Cs, ductless mini-splits offer quieter operation, improved efficiency, and both cooling and heating — but only if you size them correctly.

In this article, several experienced people who have built or own conversions break down how many BTUs you’ll need to effectively cool and heat your rig's living space, drawing on real owner experiences and practical sizing guidelines to help you pick the right unit for your rig.
