I'm honored to share that I’ve been awarded a 2025 Seed Grant for Documentary Filmmakers by Women in Film & Video (WIFV) for my film-in-development, H**P LADIES ON THE GROW.
This documentary follows three African-American women in their 60s who return to rural Virginia to grow industrial hemp—reclaiming agricultural traditions while navigating a white, male-dominated industry. It's a story of legacy, reclamation, resilience, and the power of womanhood and sisterhood.
I’m deeply grateful to WIFV not only for this grant, but also for selecting me as a fellow in its inaugural 2024 Documentary Development Fellowship Program—an invaluable experience that expanded my skills and connected me with a talented community of filmmakers.
I invite you to sow some seeds with me by supporting the completion of this documentary. Please consider sharing this post and making a tax-deductible donation to support H**P LADIES ON THE GROW at https://bit.ly/4nftGYW.
