Greater Milford Outreach will be meeting on Tues June 10 at 8 am. The presentation, “Impact of Heroin Use on Our Communities” will be given by Annette Escalante, Director of Keystone Hall. Monica Gallant of Community Action for Safe Teens will also provide information on this problem and Capt. Nervik , Milford Police, will address Milford specific questions. Networking will follow. The meeting is open to all.

Come one come all! The next Bedford Italian Cultural Society's meeting will be held on Thursday, June 19, at 7:00 pm at the Bedford Library.

he presenter that evening will be Sarah Souter, a singer/actress from Bedford whose children attend the local schools. With the exception of her daughters, Sarah's true passion is musical theater. Her favorite roles have been Anna in The King and I, the Lady of the Lake in Spamalot, and the Baker's Wife in Into The Woods, to name a few. Currently, Sarah studies voice with Michele Henderson, a critically acclaimed veteran of grand opera, concert and musical theater stages throughout Europe and the Unites States.

We hope you enjoy her "performance" of some Italian songs on June 19th. Members and non-members are welcome. Coffee and sweets will be served. Bedford residence and Italian heritage are not requirements to attend.

She was last seen on Wednesday, June 4, at 9:45 a.m. She is believed to be operating a 2006 Toyota Corolla, a green vehicle with N.H. Registration: LUVOBOE. POTANIPO LAKE BOAT RAMP FACILITY IN BROOKLINE, NH, CLOSED FOR MAINTENANCE JUNE 12

CONCORD, N.H. -- The public boat access facility at Potanipo Lake in Brookline, N.H., will be closed for maintenance on Thursday, June 12, 2014. The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department will be grading the access road, parking area and approach to the ramp. The work is expected to take one day and will not interfere with the use of the adjacent town beach.

New Hampshire's Public Boat Access Program is funded through boat registration fees and federal Sport Fish and Wildlife Restoration funds.

Fish and Game's Facilities Construction and Lands Division acquires land for public water access sites, refurbishes existing sites and builds new public boat access areas. Visit http://www.wildnh.com/access.

Volunteers needed for Merrimack’s 4th of July Parade

The Merrimack Parks and Recreation Department is seeking volunteers to help with the Town of Merrimack’s 4th of July Parade. The Annual 4th of July Parade will kick off at 1pm from Tractor Supply in the Commons Shopping Plaza. Volunteers are needed to help organize parade participants and give support along the parade route. We are looking for High School students and Adults to volunteer from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm for some fun and fast paced action!

The Colonial Garden Club of Hollis is hosting a Garden Tour on June 21, 10 am - 5 pm. The tour will feature 8 unique Hollis area gardens. The theme of this year’s tour is “ A Feast of Flowers.” Come enjoy the floral displays and each of our homeowners’ special approach to garden design.

Tickets may be purchased in advance by noon on June 20, 2014 for $20. Tickets will be $25.00 the day of the tour. Tickets may be pre-ordered online (below) or by calling Karen at 603-880-8207 or Anita at 603-465-7148.
