Happy Howie's Natural Dog Treats in the house!! Want to know our “go to” treats here at Full of Sit? This is it! These are the 2 pound rolls. They’re the perfect texture for training and the flavor must be good also because I haven’t met many dogs that will turn them down! Another advantage of these is that you can cut them up as big or as small as you need them to be!

The First steps of dog training(it’s not teaching a sit, down or recall!).
There are lots of factors that go into training a dog and how successful the training will be. A few Things to consider before you ever start are…
1- what’s the goal of training? Service dog, single or dual purpose k9?, plan on showing in conformation, just want a well behaved pet? Set a goal and make a plan!
2– Select the correct dog with the correct temperament for the results you want.
3- build an effective way of communicating with your dog; one of the first things I teach a new dog is the word “yes!” and the sound of a clicker both equal a reward (typically food, but also a toy/tug)

If you don’t have a plan, you’ll not be very successful at reaching your goals.
If your dog isn’t capable of doing the job you want them to do, you’ll not be very successful at reaching your goals.
If you can’t communicate effectively with your dog, you’ll not be very successful at reaching your goals.

I’ve got a meeting in dyersburg early Saturday morning so looking for feedback on postponing…

-we move it back to later Saturday at 7pm
- we move it to Sunday evening at 6
-we skip until next week.
