The Atlanta Falcons didn’t play it safe during the 2025 NFL Draft and that’s exactly why their offseason stands out 🔥
By selecting hybrid linebacker Jalon Walker and aggressively trading back into the first round for James Pearce Jr., Atlanta made it clear: fixing the pass rush was priority No. 1.
And it had to be. In 2024, the Falcons finished among the bottom three teams in the league in pass-rush grade, pressure rate, and pass-rush win rate.
Their inability to generate consistent heat on opposing quarterbacks cost them dearly, but that may be about to change.
Between Walker, Pearce, and 2024 third-rounder Bralen Trice, Atlanta now has a promising young trio to reshape the edge of their defense.
If this group develops as hoped, it could mark the beginning of a new defensive identity under Raheem Morris 💪

Ja’Corey Brooks isn’t guaranteed anything.
He wasn’t drafted. He’s buried in a deep receiver room. And yet, he’s still out there. Thirty minutes after practice ends. Helmet on. Catching passes from Marcus Mariota and Josh Johnson.
“I want to just show them that I’m in good shape,” Brooks said.
The former Alabama and Louisville standout is turning heads early in camp with three touchdowns in two days. But he’s not letting it change his mindset.
“I’m just trying to prove that I could be able to play here. Stack days and stack plays. I ain’t getting too overhyped or underhyped.”
Brooks put up 1,013 yards and 9 touchdowns last year at Louisville, earning First Team All-ACC honors. His TD rate in college? One touchdown every six touches.
But that’s all in the past now.
“It’s been amazing,” Brooks said about working with NFL QBs. “They lead, so I follow.”
The road to the 53-man roster is long, but Brooks is building it one rep at a time.

Philip Rivers is finally, officially, retired. No more backyard comebacks, no more rumors. Just No. 17, riding off with that evil grin and a legacy full of fire.
For nearly two decades, he was the Chargers’ heartbeat; a QB who talked more trash than a cornerback, slung it like a madman, and somehow never cursed. He’d jaw at defenders, throw darts into double coverage, and still have time to scream “DADGUMMIT!” at his offensive line.
He never missed a start. Never backed down. Never shut up. And while he never got that elusive ring, he left it all on the field, from San Diego to LA. He racked up over 63,000 yards, 400+ touchdowns, and a million unforgettable facial expressions.
Yeah, he could be a bit of a bastard on Sundays. But that's what we loved about him.
One of one. A Charger forever. Except that one season with the Colts.

Name changed. Coaches changed. Teammates came and went.
But Jonathan Allen? Still here. Still dominant.
Drafted by Washington in 2017,when they were still the Redskins, Allen’s been the anchor through it all.
From FedEx field chaos to defensive front glory days, he’s lined up every Sunday like a man possessed.
Two-time Pro Bowler. Team captain. Locker room rock. And in 2025, he’s still bulldozing O-lines and leading by example.
Say what you want about the Washington Commanders’ rebuild, but as long as #93 is out there, the standard on that D-line doesn’t drop.
Same warrior. New era. Jonathan Allen’s not done.
