I went down to collect eggs before dinner and we had a chicken on the loose. This time she wasn't in the yard, she was between our fence and the neighbors. Thank goodness she didn't get loose in the neighborhood. Lol. There was a gap in the top between the netting and we think that's how she got out. 🤣🤣🤣 Thank goodness the hubs had just got home from work to help me.

We've been adding onto our raised beds in our backyard (we live in a subdivision) and I wanted to share our progress. We have a few more beds to add to the side without them. We also container garden on our deck. Have you ever tried container gardening?

One of the new babies isn't feeling so well. I hope she's gonna make it. We already lost one. I know it's normal for babies but it's still so sad and this is the first time I've lost little ones. 🥲

One of our chickens passed away so we went to replace her. We only wanted two so of course in chicken math that means 6. Lol. I finally got my Easter Eggers. Do you have a favorite breed?

Today we lost our sweet Blanche. When we got her and her sisters she was the only one who paid any attention to the mirror in their coop so she earned her name that way. She was a sweetie and would come running when she heard me come out the door. She'll be missed by me and her sisters. Rip my sweet angel.
