Good morning, welcome to Crystal Thursday. If you haven’t already noticed, the further we get into the feldspar family tree the more interesting the stones are. This week we are four stones into our moonstone exploration with Black Moonstone. Like other family members this beauty was adored for centuries. Long before anyone understood what a feldspar is.

One of the things that make it interesting is that in some circles there is an ongoing question about whether it is, in fact, a moonstone or a labradorite. Some sources associate Black Moonstone with the 1770 discovery of Labradorite in Labrador, Canada. However, much of the documented historical record refers specifically to Labradorite, and the history of Black Moonstone as a distinct variety is less clear.

The primary locations for quality pieces are Madagascar and India, but other sources are Sri Lanka, Norway, Mexico, and Ukraine. The black in this moonstone is the result of inclusions of minerals like iron oxide, magnetite, or hematite but the color is not always a black as one might expect. It can range from grey to charcoal to black. It’s not unusual to see lines of brown or grey and the familiar layered silver and blue moonstone sheen. As with the other moonstone in this family tree the Mohs scale of hardness is 6 to 6.5. The chakra associations are root and crown with the third eye connection to the family.

While Black Moonstone shares intuitive and reflective qualities of the family, the presence of iron-bearing minerals like magnetite or hematite gives it a noticeably different character. Many people find Black Moonstone more grounding and protective, as though its energy anchors the wisdom of moonstone firmly in the physical world. This grounded energy combined with moonstones intuitive qualities may help people working with it find a way through emotional issues and be more confident in their ability to accomplish goals.

Black Moonstone teaches us that wisdom does not have to drift among the clouds. Sometimes the most meaningful insights are the ones rooted firmly under our feet. Its glow reminds us that strength, intuition, and growth can exist together.

Grand Rising and welcome to the Weekly Lenormand guidance for the collective. This week’s message centers on communication, action, and opportunity. Our cards are Birds, Man, and Fish.

The Birds bring conversations, exchanges of ideas, and active communication. They can indicate excitement, anticipation, or the need to discuss matters that have been weighing on the mind. The Man represents a person taking an active role in the situation. Depending on your circumstances, this may be a man in your life, the querent, or the energy of initiative and purposeful action. The Fish speak of abundance, opportunity, resources, and the flow of energy that supports growth and expansion.
Together, these cards suggest important conversations may lead to new opportunities or movement in areas related to finances, business, or personal growth. Information shared this week may help clarify a path forward or reveal possibilities that were not previously seen.

Rather than becoming caught up in worry or overthinking, allow communication to serve as a bridge to understanding. The right conversation at the right time can create meaningful momentum. Listen carefully, ask questions, and stay open to dialogue. Opportunities often arrive through conversations, shared ideas, and unexpected connections. Stay engaged and trust the flow of information.

Crystal Allies to assist this week are, Sodalite for clear communication and balanced thinking, Tiger’s Eye for confidence and wise action, and Citrine for opportunity, abundance, and positive energy. Have a great week.

Good morning. I am excited about this weeks Crystal Thursday! We are discussing Grey Moonstone, and it has an interesting story to tell.

Grey Moonstone is a direct family member. It forms through the same process of exsolution. The interesting thing is some specimens have characteristics that hint of a relationship between traditional orthoclase moonstone and the plagioclase feldspars. These stones are still moonstone, but they live near the edge of the moonstone branch, reminding us how connected the feldspar family truly is. I like to think of Grey Moonstone as Moonstone with attitude.

These borderland specimens are found in geological environments where both orthoclase and plagioclase feldspars occur, highlighting the close relationship between the two branches of the feldspar family.

Grey Moonstone shares its Mohs scale of hardness with the rest of the family. The chakras it resonates with are the third eye, crown, and occasionally the root chakra. The color is a lovely smoky grey and is thought to result from a combination of feldspar chemistry, internal structure, and trace mineral like biotite or hornblende.
Spiritually and metaphysically, Grey Moonstone is associated with intuition, emotional balance, reflection, dreamwork, and inner wisdom. Many practitioners also work with Grey Moonstone for grounding, protection, and finding balance during times of change.

The darker inclusions and smoky color give Grey Moonstone a different feel than White Moonstone. Symbolically, this contrast between light and shadow mirrors its reputation for encouraging reflection, compromise, and grounded spiritual growth.

Grey moonstone is a stone that teaches the value of what develops slowly. Its glow emerges from structure invisible to the eye, reminding us that some of life’s major changes happen beneath the surface long before they are visible. See you next week for the next Moonstone family member.

Grand Rising and welcome to the Weekly Lenormand for the collective. This week’s message comes from the Omnito lenormand and speaks to a need for solutions, choices, and discernment. Our cards are Key, Crossroads, and Fox.

The Key represents answers, opportunities, and solutions that are already there to issues we may be having. Clarity is available, even if we cannot see it. The Crossroads brings choices and decisions, highlighting moments when possibilities are available and a direction must be chosen. The Fox encourages discernment, observation, and evaluation. It reminds us to pay close attention to the details and trust both our intuition and our experience.

Together, these cards suggest that important choices may present themselves this week. Solutions and opportunities are available, but careful consideration will help reveal which way to proceed. Not every option requires immediate action. Sometimes wisdom is discovered by observation before deciding.

Take your time when evaluating opportunities and decisions. Ask questions, gather information, and trust your instincts. The answer you’re searching for is available, but clarity comes through discernment rather than haste.

Crystal allies that will help this week are Tiger’s Eye for discernment and wise decision-making, Fluorite for clarity and focus, Sodalite for balanced thinking and truth, and Clear Quartz to amplify insight and intention. Have a momentous week.

Good morning. On this Crystal Thursday our feldspar family member of interest is Peach Moonstone. Like other moonstone, Peach forms through the same process of exsolution. The warm peach to apricot color comes from trace amounts of iron finding its way into the feldspar structure during formation. Depending on the specimine, Peach Moonstone may show a soft adularescence or a pearly sheen.

There is no documented first find for this branch of the family, cultures around the world independently found and enjoyed its beauty for thousands of years. The Ancient Greeks and Romans wore jewelry made from this stone believing it would bring wisdom, wealth, and love into their lives. In the mythology of ancient India, peach moonstone is a stone of happiness. Tied to the moon God Chandra peach moonstone is a traditional wedding gift to bring love, harmony, and fertility to the marriage.

The spiritual and metaphysical energy of peach moonstone is interesting. While it holds and shares the qualities of the family as all crystal and mineral groups do. Each stone within the family has their own energy to share with those who work with them. Peach moonstone is no different.

The spiritual and metaphysical energy of Peach Moonstone is interesting. While it holds and shares the qualities of the family, as all crystal and mineral groups do, each stone within the family has its own energy to share with those who work with them. Peach Moonstone is no different.

Unlike the reflective energy of White Moonstone, Peach carries a warm nurturing presence. Connected to both the heart and sacral chakras, it encourages emotional balance, self-love, compassion, creativity, and healthy emotional transitions. The iron within the stone gives Peach Moonstone its beautiful warmth while also adding a feeling of grounding, strength and support and passion to the gentle lunar energy moonstone is known for.

Peach Moonstone reminds us that growth and healing do not always have to come through struggle. Change can be gentle, loving, and filled with grace.

I’ve been thinking a lot about endings lately. Have you ever noticed how things end, but never really leave? Like conversations, a season of life, a person you no longer speak to. Even after it’s over, feelings, lessons, and a version of yourself that existed because that moment did. Stays.
Physically, endings are part of life. Days end. Relationships end. Time moves on whether we are ready for it or not. And maybe endings are necessary. Without them, would we treasure anything? Would we ever begin again?

But what if…
there were no endings?

Not in the sense that things stay the same forever. Maybe that’s not possible. But what if nothing meaningful ever completely disappears? What if endings are only the end of a form, while something else continues? A memory becomes wisdom. Grief becomes tenderness. Maybe that’s why some things ache long after they’re gone. Because part of them is still there. And maybe life was never meant to be permanent. Maybe it was meant to move. To become. What if endings are not the opposite of continuation, but a part of it?
What if…
