Many of the library staff I knew have retired since 2007, when I first vetted, then began creating, the index. But I know there's still resistance to letting the public even know about it.

Why do white evangelical women think they can lie so freely? It's a regular problem in worlds of genealogy and cemetery research.

And in politics: the lying tina peters continues to lie to the press after being let out of prison to lie some more; she's fact-checked in the video here.
I dealt with that kind of sanctimonious lying white lady crap by board members of the Milwaukee County Genealogical Society; also MPL staff, and other Boomer retirees in the Milwaukee area (all genders).

Three stages of another 2025 restoration project at Dreifaltigkeits Friedhof. Some people prefer the rusty look. This cast iron marker was also cleaned _on site_ by a monument company. Another Find-a-Grave volunteer shared in the cost of that cleaning.
Another version of that same marker is found in a horrible looking cemetery in Colorado. It looks like it once had an oil coating, or oil treatment, or some kind of chemical finish.

This would be similar to demanding that Milwaukee Public Library NOT tolerate "conflict of interest" in decision making, or daily practices and procedures of their employees, or volunteers, or sponsored groups.
That would handle the problem of Grifting that became a defacto employment benefit at Central Library, although hidden from the public.
If anyone wants a list of violations of the basic ethical standards I witnessed over 20 years of spending a lot of time at MPL-Central, let me know.

Hey Wisconsin ! Not Gay, NOT Transgender, NOT an immigrant!

MAGA Scott Soucek — husband of Wisconsin Door County GOP Chair Stephanie Soucek — has been sentenced to 3 years in prison and lifetime state supervision after pleading no contest to three counts of child s*xual abuse materials possession.

Authorities launched an investigation after flagging suspicious computer downloads involving images of very young children, pre-teens, and animal s*xual abuse images. Soucek originally faced 10 counts but pleaded down to three in a deal. He’ll serve the sentences concurrently and must register as a s*x offender upon release, with no unsupervised contact with minors and restricted internet access.

The irony is impossible to ignore. His wife — a Trump delegate at the 2024 RNC and current GOP chair.
