Date yourself:
Now don't get me wrong BUT I still make it a priority to date myself-and honestly, it's one of the best things I do for my well-being. Here's why:
1. It Builds Self-Love & Confidence
Spending time on my own helps me appreciate who I am, boosting my self-worth. When I love and value myself first, l'm able to bring even more love and positivity into my relationship.
2. It Keeps Me Independent
I enjoy my own company and embrace my independence. It reminds me that my happiness isn't dependent on anyone else-it comes from within.
3. It Clarifies What I Want
Dating myself helps me understand what I truly need and want in a relationship. The more I know myself, the more I can show up as the best partner I can be.
4. It Strengthens Emotional Awareness
Spending time alone gives me space to process my emotions, reflect on my feelings, and stay grounded. This emotional clarity helps me show up more balanced in all my relationships.
5. It Sparks Creativity & Self-Discovery
Whether it's journaling, trying out new hobbies, or going for solo adventures, these moments of self-date-time allow me to reconnect with my passions and grow in ways that benefit me and my relationship.
6. It Prevents Dependency
By investing in myself, I avoid becoming overly reliant on someone else to fill emotional gaps. I realize that my happiness starts with me.
7. It Boosts My Mental Health
Taking care of myself-whether it's a solo dinner, a walk, or just enjoying quiet time-reduces stress and helps me feel centered, which only makes my relationships stronger.
It's not about choosing one over the other; it's about creating balance and making sure I'm the best version of me, for me and for the people I love.
