A4283 Ban Puppy Mills in Pet Stores bill would prohibit puppy mill animals in pet stores and allow space for local shelter animal adoptions. Puppy mill animals endure horrific lives and deaths. Seems like any human with a heart would support this bill which was introduced nearly 5 years ago.
https://www.humanesociety.org/all-our-fights/stopping-puppy-mills

In its 5th year, the bill has passed twice in the past 2 years in the NYS Senate (with only 1 lone no vote). It has over 60 cosponsors already... that is a lot and not many bills share that distinction but it is still not enough to urge the bill to the assembly floor for a vote. The bill is in the Codes Committee once more.

Please call your assembly member today - ask them to support and cosponsor A4283. Thank you.
