National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Lincoln, Catawba, Cleveland, and Iredell Counties until 10:00pm. A line of storms is moving towards our direction and could bring severe components with it like gusty wind, hail, and damage. Use caution!

Southbound Hwy 16 S/O Hwy 73

Units are on the scene of a 2-vehicle crash head-on from a wrong direction driver, both cars caught fire, commander advising 2 dead at scene, SB Hwy 16 will be shut down for quite a long time at Hwy 73, avoid the area and use other routes

Please be advised, as of 6:00pm tonight, Saturday 3/28, there is a state-wide burn ban issued for all 100 Counties in the state of NC. This means no burning outside, anywhere, period. If you burn anything outside you will either get the NC Forestry Service (over 100 feet from a structure/home) or the County Fire Marshal (within 100 feet of a structure/home) called on you and penalties issued. People have been urged to call 911 if they see ANY type of outside burning. Also, all burn permits have been rescinded/cancelled until further notice. Please take this seriously because the authorities are!!
