🪩✨ THE ART OF REINVENTION: ALISON GOLDFRAPP

Who says you have to pick a lane and stay in it?

From the experimental electronic sounds of Goldfrapp to glam, disco and irresistible dance-floor grooves, Alison has spent more than two decades refusing to be defined by one sound, one era, or anyone else’s expectations.

Still exploring new territory and releasing new music, Alison is proving that creativity doesn’t come with an expiration date.

Her latest chapter? A solo career, her own record label and a continued love affair with electronic music.

Remember, you don’t have to become someone new to reinvent yourself. Sometimes you just have to give yourself permission to explore another side of who you already are.

And THAT is something worth dancing about. ❤️🎶

Today we celebrate Toni Braxton! 59 years of that voice, that drama, those gowns and making heartbreak sound far more glamorous than it has any right to. 💅🏾

She told us to Un-Break Her Heart.
She asked He Wasn’t Man Enough.
And somewhere, somebody is STILL dramatically lip-syncing the bridge like the rent depends on it.

Happy Birthday, Toni. 🖤

Tiny techno history for your scroll. 🔊

Techno was born in Detroit’s Black music scene in the early ’80s, when artists mixed funk, synths, drum machines and futuristic sounds into something entirely new.

The Belleville Three are Juan Atkins, Derrick May and Kevin Saunderson — three friends from Belleville, outside Detroit, widely credited with creating Detroit techno in the early ’80s.

From Detroit underground to dance floors everywhere. There’s history in that beat. 🖤
