It was his cousin and they don’t want him to speak out ! That’s so cruel because it’s his own family and it’s freedom of speech as well which the university should want him to have but instead they want to silence him because of Israel.

Amid graduation ceremonies across the United States, many colleges are attempting to silence pro-Palestine speech at the commemorations. Students and faculty are resisting the censorship and often organizing alternative events.

The flotilla activists say they are peacefully traveling through international waters to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza. Article 33 of the Fourth Geneva Convention prohibits collective punishment, and many human rights organizations argue that restricting essential food and aid to Gaza’s civilian population raises serious legal concerns. The Global Sumud Flotilla says it is attempting to bring aid through nonviolent and legal means.

At a Airport in Spain the Activists Shield Each Other

Global Sumud Flotilla activists received a warm welcome from family and friends in Spain upon returning home from Israel. The activists claim they were abused, and some say they were sexually assaulted while in Israeli custody after being taken from international waters, where they were attempting to deliver aid to Gaza. Following a misunderstanding, Basque police were seen on camera confronting some of the activists at the airport while crowds were held back.

Activists Recount That the Israeli Military Said, “You Use Words, We Use Guns.”

Released activists are now speaking out about what they say happened during their detention, recounting alleged abuse and intimidation by the Israeli military. Some activists say soldiers told them, “You Use Words, We Use Guns.”

The activists were detained in international waters while attempting to challenge the nearly two-decade blockade on Gaza by sea and deliver humanitarian aid. UN experts and human rights officials have condemned the interceptions.

This comes as people in Gaza remain in desperate need of shelter, food, medical supplies, and materials needed to rebuild, including cement. According to a report this week from The Guardian, Israel has barred cement and other building materials from entering the Gaza Strip since October 2023.
