I’ve lately grown tired of living in survival mode, playing small, and not fully going after my dreams.
It’s so easy for us to want to play it safe, though all the while we may feel like we’re d*ing inside because we’re not living how we want to live or pursuing our dreams.

This summer, I was given a divine reminder that I’m meant to keep going. I felt it in the music, in the words spoken to me, in the support that showed up out of nowhere. I call those Breakaway Moments — when your soul says, ‘This is who I really am.’

I’ve got fewer hours at my day job this summer, but I’m not stopping. I’m showing up for my dreams in music and working on recording my 1st EP this summer and dedicating it to my #1 fan, my Dad, who turned 81 recently.

Thankful for the man who believed in me and my God given talents before a one else did, my dad. Happy Father’s Day to him!!

As a kid, he liked hearing me play the piano for him.

He bought my first keyboard.

He was the first to invest in my career.

And now as he turns 81 this summer, I want to work towards releasing my first EP. I need him to hear it while he’s still around.

I can’t do this alone.

I’m asking for listeners support as I work on my EP instead of taking on a second job which would drain my energy and give me less time to complete this.

Time waits for no one, and I’ve waited on completing this for far too long.

I didn't choose it.

It chose me.

I was going through a list of names that I could use for my evolved music artist identity.

Olivia Lynn didn't seem to fit me anymore as an artist.

Yes, that is my real name, but I felt I had outgrown that version of me.

After many years and much growth, my style has changed.

My musical tastes have broadened.
And now as I'm going all in on my career, I felt I needed a change.

I needed to figure out who I was as an artist and what that looked like.

Litlle did I know, that would mean changing my stage name.

Going through a list of potential names, I was looking for something that stood out to me. That not only spoke to my heart but to my soul.
Then I saw it.

Zavaya.

It wasn't just a name. It's a frequency. It feels like a movement. A brand. A statement by itself.

And as I tested myself with my new name, I stood in front of a mirror and called it out.

"Zavaya."

She felt like home. She felt like a name that I have to grow into because there is so much energy felt in that name. It was a full-bodied 'Yes' for me!

That's when I knew Zavaya was it.

Zavaya, to me, means: Bold rebirth, radiant truth, and rhythms that wake the soul.

I reached the top of this mountain l'ive been climbing.

It all comes down to this....

As I stand on the edge of this mountain I call my old life and look down on everything I've gone through, I realized just how far I've come.

I'm not the same person I was 5 years ago.

3 years ago.

Even last year.

My kindness and compassion for others hasn't changed.

My wanting to make a difference in the world hasn't changed.

But my soul has.

I have awakened to the person I was meant to be in this lifetime.

To some this may sound crazy, and that's OK.

This message won't be understood by everyone.

But I feel I've found my calling in life, and it's time to make it known.

It was always there inside of me. I just kept it quiet for years, only to share bits and peices of it with others.

Maybe you've heard about it already.

But now it's time to step into this fully. As my highest self.

The old me who lived in survival mode has gotten me this far, and I thank her. I love her for all she's gotten me through. But she's no longer here.....

She's exists now only in my memory. The lessons and wisdom I shall take with me into this next phase of life.

Today, at 19, 2025, is my rebirth day!

The day I fully step into my higher self.

And I'm never looking back.

It's time for me to step off this mountain top and fly....

You can choose to ride with me or step aside. But there is nothing or no one that will stand in the way of me pursuing my lifes calling. My life's purpose.

Welcome, Zavaya.

This is me as my highest self. The one who will carry out my life's purpose.

What is it, you ask??

It's music. The music I have buried for years is coming to the surface. In beats. In rhythm. In melody.

Over the years it has grown and evolved into this most beautiful thing that could take the world by storm.

Yes, I said the WORLD. 🌍

I've always been a daydreamer, and I've always dreamed big. But now it's time to make those dreams a reality.

For those who feel lost in life and want to find their rhythm, I invite you do it through my music.

I am a mutil-genre musician and songwriter who chooses to express herself outside the box we have been conditioned to believe we're in.

I don't have a box. Not anymore.
