To all you humans out there (past & present) who transform your human experience and pain into things of beauty for the rest of us, thank you. To the volunteer who greeted me at the walker & insisted on going to grab your daily meditations book to read with me, thank you. I'm not a "god" gal, but man that reading floored me to the point of unexpected tears.

Someone once told me my living space looked like a "warm hug" and I just really liked that.

I told everyone I thought Togo sofas were dumb & yet here we are with a crappy replica stand in Togo (we all know how much I change my living room around). At least the dogs are enjoying it🙈

I plan to be back at it again with spring sales right around the corner.

POV from the office this morning of downtown Mpls. 🧡

When I'm up this high in a building and I have a view out into the cities, it kind of provides the relieving feeling of what being on a plane feels like. It's almost like a weight lifts off your shoulders realizing you can let go of the 900 problems in your head because there is so much more to life than my very narrow world view. Like you feel small, but in a comforting way that feels like a mini hug from the universe?

Vintage furnishings around my house I won't get rid of (and why):

📸Pic #1: my Omni unit and teak planter.

The wall unit was from a couple that moved out here from the east coast and bought a giant piece of land. They are both professors/researchers and appreciate the small (but meaningful) things in life. Basically a love story to aspire to for my later years. I know I cannot be the only one who holds onto secondhand items for no reason other than they have really good "energy" and tell a story that makes me happy when I see them because of who they came from.

The teak planter: I hold onto this one mostly because I know I won't find another like it at a comparable price and I love it (came out to 0 dollars).

📸Pic #2: my Peter max plate that brought me as a gift when she picked up a chair from me. She didn't know me personally yet and gave it to me for no other reason other than she thought I'd love it. Well I do love it and it reminds me that there are humans out there who do stuff for no other reason but to tell another "I was thinking of you and wanted to do something nice"

📸Pic #3: my marimekko fabric art from . This wall art also makes me smile because of how happy it is.

📸Pic #4: my book that is front and center because she has been my inspo since practically day one

📸Pic #5: my NOS rya rug that my dogs have for sure ruined and I don't think I'll ever love a rug more. I spent far far too much money on this rug but I haven't regretted it at all. 🧡

Still on a hiatus and I'm sorry this isn't a flashy/one of a kind "new" item in stock -- but my god can you just look at their new bandanas I bought for the sheer purpose of taking some sibling pics.

Some "where we've been" updates:

-currently in the process of getting a new roof after that hail storm and there is only one thing that gets me as irrationally angry as our healthcare system and it rhymes with schmimsurance.

-lots of introspection into how I "talk" to myself. Working on rewiring the underlying subconscious' need to tell me it's never enough. Real confidence comes from genuine self-belief. I've harped on this before but I find the more unhappy I am, the more I feel the need to "prove" myself. (IYKYK)

-I am adding the word "director" to my resume this month and I didn't think this day would come. To all of the others out there who are v familiar with imposter syndrome- I see you. 🤓

-got my NC drivers license traded in for a MN one (mind your business if you know it's been 6 years since I've lived in Asheville). If you have to go to the dmv and don't wanna wait 3 hrs- just go to the north mpls one. They're speedy and there are little to no wait times.

Back to enjoying the little bit of warm weather we get here in MN.

Most everything in my house isn't picture perfect and despite what you see in this pic, the other nightstand has an empty bag of Cheetos and some sour flinstone gummies scattered on it.

Can we talk about the influx of content being copy and pasted from Chat GPT? I certainly use AI for work and even to generate LinkedIn posts. Let me be clear that AI generated content is not "good" or "bad," but something to be conscientious about as consumers.

HOW TO SPOT AI GENERATED CONTENT ACCORDING TO AI 😉

-a sudden use of overly formal language that lacks any sort of authenticity, or unusual grammatical structures.
-Using AI to detect AI. While detection algorithms continue to evolve, human judgment and critical thinking remain vital in discerning AI-generated content. Developing media literacy skills and maintaining a healthy skepticism towards online information can significantly mitigate the impact of AI-generated misinformation. (Who can spot the entirely unnecessary use of fluffer words here)

TIPS FOR USING & RESPONSIBLY CONSUMING AI MODELED CONTENT ALSO ACCORDING TO AI:

-understand the limitations of AI
-fact check information
-transparency & disclosure.

And plz remember: AI is a tool that should be guided by our human values and used as an AID rather than a replacement for actual human creativity. 🧡

Slowly but surely I will get my outdoor space feeling more "together."

Why didn't anyone tell me that homeownership involves getting giant tree branches trimmed and that if a tree severely declines in health the price to get it removed is astronomical. y'all lied- gardening is not therapeutic unless my indoor plants count 😅
