We’re excited to officially announce the name of our new monthly mixer: Sunday Solidarity — brought to you by IATSE Local 490!

This casual networking event is open to everyone in the industry — union or non-union, cast or crew, newcomers or veterans. It’s all about building connections, sharing experiences, and enjoying each other’s company outside of the hustle.

🗓 This Sunday, July 27th
⏰ 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
📍 Fair State Brewing Cooperative
2506 Central Ave NE, Minneapolis, MN 55418

We just wrapped a union job, so if you're curious about what it’s like to work union — or how to get started — this is a great chance to chat with folks who’ve been there.

But more than that, Sunday Solidarity is about community — hanging out, sharing stories, and supporting one another. Whether you’re there to network, decompress, or just grab a drink with familiar faces, we’d love to see you.

Let’s launch this right — see you this Sunday!

Wrapped a fun one with my fellow members on a union commercial for a national grocery chain 🛒🎬 We had an incredible time—long days, laughs, and even an overnight inside a grocery store! Nothing beats working with talented colleagues on a union job. Proud to be part of this crew. 💪

"Andor" cost $650 million for 24 episodes, says creator Tony Gilroy. Sources estimate

“I mean, [for] Disney this is $650 million. For 24 episodes, I never took a note. We said ‘F*ck the Empire’ in the first season, and they said, ‘Can you please not do that?’ … In Season 2, they said, ‘Streaming is dead, we don’t have the money we had before,’ so we fought hard about money, but they never cleaned anything up. That [freedom] comes with responsibilities.”

Production on “Andor” Season 2 was notably paused amid the Hollywood strikes. A source familiar with the production said the guild strikes added approximately $20 million in shutdown costs to “Andor’s” budget and that episodes cost an estimated $20 million after tax incentives, similar to the reported episode budgets of “House of the Dragon” and “Severance.”

'Andor' creator Tony Gilroy says Disney spent $650 million to make 24 episodes of his 'Star Wars' series, although money tightened up in Season 2.
