Happy birthday J Cord Frank
Today, 8th August, marks the day I, Frank Maobe, was born in Kilgoris Constituency, Narok County, in the year 19.........
My late mother, Florence Onyango, named me after her beloved uncle Franklin Moraira. I was too young then to know the time I was born, but one thing I grew up knowing for sure is that my mum gave me unmatched love, care, and sacrifice.
I am the only son among five siblings, and that gave me a unique bond with my mum,she respected me deeply, not just as her child, but as her pillar. And when she took her final breath, she left this world calling out my name and that of my beautiful daughter, Providence Kerubo,I don't know what she wanted to tell us,may her soul continue resting in peace.
Life hasnβt been easy, from struggling through primary school, facing the weight of poverty, and pushing myself through college, Iβve seen lifeβs hard side. I was raised in a family where poverty was so visible that even the poor used us as examples of what real poverty looked like.
Growing up, my world revolved around just three people:
ποΈ My late mum,
ποΈ My late grandmother, Thruphena Nyangweso Kinara,
π And my father, who is still alive today.
These three people built the foundation of the man I am today, they taught me how to live with people, how to assist others, how to stand strong in the face of challenges, and how to believe in myself a d how to co-exist with others.
So today, I celebrate my life here on earth,I celebrate the struggles, the lessons, the scars, and the victories.
This is J Cord Frank,
The proud son of Florence Onyango
A father to amazing daughters and one strong son,
A believer in God and destiny,
A man who has walked through the fire and came out alive.
Today I turn 3....... and I thank God for every single breath.
Happy birthday to me.
