Goo Goo Dolls at the new Mystic Lake Amphitheater
10/10 what a great show! I was a pretty casual fan until I saw them live. Much respect to these guys for giving us a pretty much flawless show. Go see them if you haven’t. They literally played ALL their hits for 2 hours straight. Banger after banger. Opening band NEON TREES killed it. I had no idea that I knew pretty much every song they played. They were high energy and engaging. And go check out this venue! It gets a 9/10 only because exiting the parking lot sucked. That is the one problem with concerts that they haven’t solved yet because the rest of the experience was as close to perfect as it could get. Grass seating was fun and the sound up there was just as good as when I sat 4th row for Dylan a few weeks ago. And the tickets were 2 for $55! That CANNOT be beat for shows of this caliber. Check out their upcoming schedule for more 2/$55 grass seating shows. There are some really good ones coming up including Willie Nelson and friends. We’ll be back there for more shows this season. Easily the best of the 5 Dylan shows I've seen. Maybe helps that I was surprised with 4th row center stage seats but that was an amazing show with amazing musicians keeping up with Bob as he led from the keyboard. It was especially fun watching Dylan band newcomer Julian Lage learning on the fly. He's an amazing guitarist and I'm sure he'll be a fixture for the rest of the summer at least. He was all smiles as Dylan kept giving him the nod of approval all night. This was my first show at the new Mystic Lake Amphitheater. 5 stars. Go see a show there!
