Yo!! Had a few people reach out tonight after seeing I’ve listed a lot of my music gear on marketplace! I just want to make this post to let you all know I am just changing my studio setup to accommodate my new apt building better (aka my neighbors!)

I went from a ground floor unit in a super loud building to a top floor unit in a pretty quiet building when I moved in May. That being said, my 8” studio monitors that go down to 34hz are a litttttle bit too much for the top floor of the old apt building i’m in… definitely shakes the floor a bit. Was not an issue on the ground floor, but is proving to be one here.

That being the case, I have not turned my monitors on in almost 2 months now until today to make the sale post. I plan to buy some nice over the ear production headphones once the monitors sell! I’ve been using my AT-M50x headphones lately for all the stuff I’ve been working on. Honestly been liking the sounds I’m making more using those vs on the monitors, and I think that’s due to me not having the funds for full acoustical treatment in my studio room.

So, no I’m not quitting music, just trying to make my setup more useful and less obstructing to my neighbors lives! Still SUPER open for bookings!! Still working on tunes and just recently dropped a 30 min ORIGINAL mix and a 50 min FREESTYLE DJ set with tons of sick blends on my SoundCloud!!

Thank you to those who reached out, by the way. I am all good and definitely still working on my music project!!!

I have been extremely busy with life outside of my music project lately, I apologize for the lack of posts / updates!!

I have a lot of time off work coming up and I’m hoping I can use some of that time to make some new tunes. Gotta get some other life things in order before I can really lock in on music again, but I should be able to soon!!

New Widdler album is actually some of the best dubstep, honestly just music in general, that I have ever heard. Feeling so inspired after listening to basically only this album the last week or so now. He hit every pocket, insane sound design, crazy addictive basslines, and absolutely impeccable arrangement overall. I'm obsessed with this one. Top tier music here.

The cello intro / outro for the tune Obsidian is so good. the TONE of that instrument my god. Breathtaking. I can't stop listening to it. I want to learn to play string instruments soon. I've always been fascinated by them, but since beginning to produce I feel like the electric cello is speaking to me. There's a band that tours playing electric cellos. I worked their show at Uptown theater, but I don't remember their name. I was super intrigued that day, I didn't even know an electric cello existed until then. Look up some videos if you've never heard one, they're sick.

BTW back to Widdler, he made the whole album a free direct download on SC / Widdfam Bandcamp :0 Go get it!!!

Yo!!

I hope everyone has been doing well the past few days. Especially my MN friends, it’s a difficult time right now here. I’ve seen so many people come together to support the community recently, though, and it’s been really cool to see. Given everything happening, it’s relieving to see how many people in our local music scene are speaking up against ICE and the current government leaders.

There is an extensive amount of music out there about rebellion, revolution, and the negative impact our government and police force has on our country. I had the opportunity to play some of my favorite songs regarding this topic in a stream hosted by Eylxr on Sunday night, and I plan to do the same for my set tonight. I want to thank Erin & Taylor for hosting the stream as well as all of you who tuned it to watch & donate to a good cause! 🖤

I completely understand if anyone does not want to come out to a show right now with everything going on. If you do choose to come, I can guarantee good vibes and an overall great sense of community will be present there. We have it set up for open decks 7-9pm and then again 11-12 after the main acts play! I am on at 9:40pm!

Hope to see some friendly faces out tonight! If you are going out to support the community today or anytime this week, please be safe! Remember your skin color won’t help you, they are stopping everyone. I haven’t seen any ICE agents myself, but I KNOW it’s only a matter of time. Check on your people. Be smart about your surroundings, record things you see. Report ICE spottings, be weary of undercover agents on our side of gatherings, and take care of yourself! Stay warm and stay hydrated everyone!
