This is UNACCEPTABLE!

Marissa Bode (via Variety) said "“I was like, disabled people are not an afterthought. Why, knowing that disabled people exist, which y’all clearly often forget, do you choose not to update your planes? And I was like, ‘This is blatant segregation.’”

Marissa Bode says she was turned away from a recent flight because of her wheelchair.

from April 17, 2007 when I appeared live on NBC 6! Someone I knew in Toastmasters at the time uploaded the video to his channel for me.

I had no idea that one surgery, almost twenty years later, I'd be a well-known disability advocate in the cerebral palsy community!

I had the best time with three of my siblings over Easter weekend. My brother Mike (pictured with me) visited from Thailand! He made sure my bike was all set, put a little air in one tire….and, I was off to the races for 45 minutes!!

This was really the first time I’ve ridden my electric Liberty Trike (except for a few minutes around my parking lot) since I purchased it almost two years ago (it’s complicated). It was SO MUCH fun!

Take it from someone like me who will never be able to ride a two wheeler (due to having mild cerebral palsy): Don’t take for granted the things you CAN do that some people cannot do.
