Just saw this— what do you think is a fair tip?
“I ordered Wendy's on DoorDash, tipped five bucks, and when I opened the bag there was a note inside that said "5$? You go to hell boy!!" Like what? Bro, you dropped off a Frosty and a burger, not a heart transplant.
Let's do some math. My order was around ten dollars.
I tipped half the total, fifty percent, for someone to drive less than ten minutes and hand me a bag. That's more than fair. But apparently we've reached the point where five dollars is considered offensive.
What exactly are we tipping for now, oxygen delivery?
These apps already charge a service fee, delivery fee, tax, and some random processing fee. I'm one step away from paying a "thank you" fee just for existing.
If five bucks for a ten dollar meal sends you into a rage, maybe delivery isn't the right job. I didn't realize I was supposed to cover your rent for handing me fries.”
