It’s been such a fun week of Mahjong Lessons at the Tanner Williams Civic & Historical Society! 🀄️

Everyone did GREAT & Congratulations on your MAHJONGS! 🎉

One group, even wouldn’t allow mulligans for missed joker exchanges, even for their lesson… I was very impressed with that!!

Apparently, we were a little too busy having fun & playing Mahjong to remember to take pictures. 🧡

Thank y’all for spending part of your week around the Mahjong table with me! I’ve loved getting to know each of you & look forward to joining y’all around the table again soon! 🀄️

What to do after completing Mahjong 101?
Here’s a list of suggestions from Bam Bay Mahj to help you keep learning and building your confidence after your first lesson!
I share these with students after Mahjong 101, but thought they might be helpful to share here, too. 💗

They asked questions, wanted to get it and DID!! They’re ready for more strategy in 102 & I’m so excited to share what I know w/ them!!

If you’re looking for beautiful, well-made wooden Mahjong racks, I highly recommend woodworker Stuart Sloan!

His racks are absolutely gorgeous, w/ a few different wood options and designed for play!

They have a perfect slant and wide shelf, making tiles easy to see and they don’t slide off. 🙌 There’s a nice wide exposure area that fit even my longer tiles, plus a low-profile magnetic pusher that doesn’t block exposures from view. And the magnets are just right! They’re strong enough to keep in place, but easy to detach.

I absolutely LOVE mine!
