Remember when we talked about guttation — those tiny droplets your plants push out at night? 👀💧

Quick reminder: guttation and transpiration aren’t the same.

💧 Guttation = liquid water pushed out through special pores (hydathodes), usually at night.

🌤️ Transpiration = water v***r released through stomata during the day.

And since we’re on the topic — no, guttation doesn’t cause edema! 🙅🏽‍♀️They just share similar conditions. Guttation is your plant safely releasing extra moisture, while edema happens when that moisture builds up inside the leaves and causes leaf damage that show up in a few ways.

So if your Alocasia Bambino’s showing off a few shiny drops in the morning, it’s just staying hydrated — not stressed. 🌱💦
