The playoff picture is even clearer after Saturday’s games. Only 15 teams have a decent chance to make the playoffs. Despite losing to Memphis, USF still has the clearer path as the Group of 5 representative. The SEC seems to have 4 spots locked up. The B1G should get three teams in. The Big 12 and ACC should each get two teams in.

The playoff picture is down to 17 teams that have at least a decent chance to qualify for the 12 team field. Only 7 teams have a better than 50% chance of making it in. USF is the favorite to take the coveted “Group of 5” slot. The SEC will most likely get 4 teams in and the B1G follows with three teams. It is looking like both the Big 12 and ACC have a good chance to get two teams in, which looked very unlikely at the start of the season.

There is a lot of football left to play, but the playoff picture is beginning to take shape.
