Ohio State has been the most consistently relevant college football program of all time, and there really isn’t a debate to be had. Should they have more national championships? Probably. But their competitive consistency without any significantr rebuilding periods during the last 100 years is something special.

This is an incredible comparison. Jose Ramirez, originally an undrafted free agent in the 2009 international class, was at first intended to be a placeholder at shortstop until Francisco Lindor was ready to take over. Fast-forward about 10 years later and Jose Ramirez has been the more explosive and the more efficient player. And Lindor is most likely on HOF trajectory as well. Crazy how things have worked out for Jose.

• Tupa lettered all four years, excelling as both punter and backup quarterback before stepping into the starting QB role his senior year.
• He currently ranks among the best in OSU history in several punting records: highest single-season average (47.1 in 1984), highest career average (44.7), and second-most total punting yards (9,564).

2. Senior Quarterback Season (1987)
• As a senior under coach Earle Bruce, Tupa became the full-time starting quarterback, leading Ohio State to a 6–4–1 record.
• He threw for 2,252 yards, with 15 touchdowns and 12 interceptions, ranking him 23rd all-time in OSU passing yards.

The first Associated Press pole just dropped. Texas at Ohio State is going to be a 1 versus 3 match up. Penn State starts out ahead of Ohio State at number two. Do you think the press got it right? Not that it really matters just curious.

Travis Bazzana has now been promoted to Columbus after only spending a partial season at AA Akron. This might be the fastest I have seen a player progress through Cleveland’ minor league ranks in a long time! In just a year since being drafted first overall in the 2024 MLB Draft, Bazzana is one step away from Cleveland!

Jose Ramirez is currently working on his 10th season of having an OPS of greater than .800. Only Nap Lajoie (12) and Tris Speaker (11) have more in Cleveland baseball history and those two are HOFers and legends of the game. Jose should be at the top of this list as well when everything is said and done. Are the Guardians designing his statue yet?
