Public Statement from ASA Publishing Corporation:
In light of recent leasing denials and coordinated obstruction by Century 21 Allstar Real Estate Team and the Shango Enterprise Group, we are compelled to address the public directly.
(Let it be known, by law, the public has legal access to judicial records under Michigan Court Rule 8.119(H), the public has a legal right to inspect and obtain copies of motions and other filings submitted in court proceedings. These documents are not private property of the parties; they are part of the public record.)
This is in reference to the tan building on 25 S. Monroe St., Monroe, Michigan, a building that was in undisclosed foreclosure with undisclosed violations, which is now up for sale.
Now, in light of all this, the owner, Masoud Shango, recently confessed to the forgery and the preparation of an altered lease by and with the Realty and called it "Standard Practice", while the Defendant Attorney, Michelle (Shango) Kasmikha, created a documented, fabricated ledger . . . and then some. The worst part is that they tethered themselves to this altered lease while enjoying the festivities of perjury. Is there something wrong with this picture?
For over 20 years, ASA Publishing Corporation have operated with integrity, transparency, and a deep commitment to ethical business practices. We are proud of our legacy of empowering authors, mentoring youth, and advocating for justice in underserved communities. The refusal of realty firms to lease office space to our organizations—based not on merit, but on influence and intimidation—represents a troubling pattern of retaliation and concealment.
Let it be known: we have documented evidence of misconduct, financial irregularities, and procedural obstruction tied to these entities. We are actively pursuing legal remedies and have submitted a comprehensive criminal referral packet to law enforcement and the Monroe County Prosecutor’s Office. Our exhibits include notarized affidavits, payment records, audio documentation, and a timeline of events that speak for themselves.
The public is very much welcome to it. For we will not be silenced for all the discriminatory wrong that was done to us. We will not be displaced. And we will not allow unethical actors to dictate the future of our mission.
This is not just about office space. It is about accountability. It is about the right to operate freely and fairly in a system that claims to uphold justice. We call on the public, the press, and principled professionals to stand with us—not just in support of our organizations, but in defense of every tenant, author, and advocate who has faced similar barriers.
We are vindicated by truth. And we will continue to build, publish, and mentor—no matter the obstacles.
