People think trucking is all driving.

Sometimes it’s sitting in line waiting for one phone call from the scale house.

Today was supposed to be a quick drop and hook. Instead, it’s looking like a live unload and reload.

You can’t control the delays.

You can control what you do while you wait.

Happy Saturday. Day 25. Afternoon check in.

The journey back home continues.

Crossed the bridge, drove through the rain, passed through the tunnel, and pulled into the rest area in Midway, Kentucky for a quick reset before getting back on the road.

Long trips remind me that not every mile is exciting. Some are slow because of the weather. Some are simply about staying alert, stretching your legs, and continuing safely.

Life feels the same sometimes. We don’t always make big leaps. We just keep putting one mile in front of the next.

Every safe mile is still progress.

Grateful for another place to stop, another chance to recharge, and another day traveling home with family.

Safe travels to everyone out there today.

Day 25 of 90.

Fueled up. Got some much needed rest. Shared breakfast with family. Now back on the road toward home.

Progress isn’t always about moving fast. Sometimes it’s about knowing when to stop, recover, and continue safely.

Grateful for another day and another stretch of highway ahead.

Most days aren’t exciting.

They just require consistency.

Loaded in Texas.

Rest breaks through Louisiana and Mississippi.

Shutting down in Alabama.

One more day of showing up.

Grateful for safe miles and another opportunity to keep building.

Day 15.

Another delivery completed.

Picked up an emergency tire inflator kit today because being prepared is part of the job. Hopefully it stays in the box, but it’s one less thing to worry about if the unexpected happens.

Finished the day at Love’s in Italy, Texas, getting some rest before tomorrow’s pickup.

Still putting in the miles.
Still documenting the journey.
Still building something beyond the driver’s seat.

What piece of equipment do you never leave home without?

Day 14 | Afternoon Update

Fueled up at Love’s in Hope Hull, Alabama, then made it to Jackson for a quick drop and hook.

Another trailer. Another destination. The miles keep changing, but the mission stays the same.

Every load gets me one step closer to building something that isn’t limited to the hours I can drive.

Grateful for safe travels. On to Texas.
