Today, we announce the death of the Montgomery Street Committee page.
What started as a platform to inform, entertain, support, and connect the community no longer serves the purpose it once did. The passion, the reach, the voice, and the impact have slowly been silenced.
This page gave updates during storms, accidents, tragedies, celebrations, and moments that mattered to the people of Montgomery and beyond. We built a family here. We laughed together, cried together, and stood together.
But unfortunately, thanks to Facebook and Meta, it has become nearly impossible for pages like ours to survive, grow, or even reach the people who chose to follow us. Constant restrictions, limited visibility, and unfair treatment have drained the life out of something that once meant so much.
So today, we lay Montgomery Street Committee to rest.

Thank you to every supporter, follower, commenter, and person who ever shared a post. You made this page what it was. No algorithm can erase the memories, the impact, or the community we created together.
