Holley Amburn, a fifth-grade student at Pike Road Intermediate School, is collecting donations to help give the gift of food, warmth and more to those who might otherwise go without this holiday season.

As part of the aptly named “Holley Jolly Stockings Project,” Amburn is collecting a range of items that she plans to donate to Montgomery’s Friendship Mission, which is the only homeless shelter for men, women and children open 365 days-a-year in the River Region.

Christmas Tree Lighting Update:

Due to the latest weather forecast, we’re pressing pause on tonight’s Spillway Park Ribbon Cutting and annual Christmas Tree Lighting. They will be rescheduled for Tuesday, December 9th, in conjunction with our MainStreet Christmas event.
We want everyone to enjoy a merry & bright night—just not a soggy one!

BUT the fun isn’t completely canceled!
Our Christmas Market and Food Vendors will still be open, thanks to our covered Spillway area!

If we get a break in the weather, we plan to also open the carousel and ice-skating rink! Check back for updates.
