✨ Big News from The Retreat & MadMaxx Barbershop ✨

Hi friends! It’s been a while since we’ve introduced ourselves, so we thought this was the perfect time.

We’re the Maxwell family — Genea, TJ (aka MadMaxx), and our little boss baby, Hayden Rose 💖 (the real CEO who keeps us motivated, laughing, and working hard to build something she’ll be proud of one day).

For the past 8 years, The Retreat Massage & Wellness has been my passion — a place for healing, slowing down, and finding balance. It’s grown alongside me into something I’m so proud to share with this community.

This past year, TJ took a leap of faith — leaving behind a decade-long career as an electrician to chase his dream of barbering. MadMaxx Barbershop will be officially open in 2026, giving our town fresh fades, clean shaves, and a space for the guys to feel their best too.

And now for the BIG news… 🏗️ We’ve officially purchased the Catfish Inn property! The building will be coming down, and in its place will rise a brand-new home for The Retreat and MadMaxx Barbershop — This expansion means more space, more services, and a fresh new chapter for our family and this community we love so much.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in us, supporting us, and growing with us — whether you’ve been with us since day one or you’re just meeting us now. 💛 Your encouragement allows us to keep doing what we love most: serving this town we love so much. We can’t wait to welcome you into our new space 🩷
