From the incident report

On April 30, 2025, at approximately 0920 hours, I, Officer J. Palmer was dispatched to address redacted Jeffcoat Road in reference to an overdose.

On arrival, I was met outside on the porch by a black male, who stated “they are doing CPR on him” and pointed inside the residence. I went inside and saw a white male, who was identified as Mr. Branson sitting in a chair with a female holding on to him.

The female stated “I don’t know what happened to him, he said he wasn’t feeling good” and another female stated “He was sleepy and he sat down in a chair and started turning blue.” Branson was turning blue and was unresponsive. I asked the females could it have been a overdose and they both responded saying “I don’t know, I don’t know” I administered one dose of Naloxone HCI nasal spray 4mg (Narcan) in his right nostril and then the female holding Branson and I assisted Branson to the floor and placed Branson in the recovery position.

As soon as we placed Branson in the recovery position, he started moving his arm towards his face. Branson was still not opening his eyes but was moving on the floor. EASI personal arrived on scene and took over the medical attention at that point.

As I was getting Branson information from Hill, caller, who stated Branson came in and said he is not feeling good, was not feeling himself and started turning blue. Hill stated that Branson used fentanyl.

FORDYCE, Ark. – The Arkansas State Crime Laboratory (ASCL) has determined that the deaths of two Fordyce residents earlier this month were the result of a murder-su***de.
On September 15, 2025, the Arkansas State Police (ASP) Criminal Investigation Division (CID) initiated a death investigation at the request of the Dallas County Sheriff's Office (DCSO) following the discovery of a deceased couple inside a Fordyce residence.
At approximately 11 a.m. that day, deputies with DCSO and officers with the Fordyce Police Department responded to a report of two unresponsive individuals at a home in the 1700 block of West 4th Street. Upon arrival, authorities found the bodies of David Parham, 81, and Holly Parham, 70, both residents of Fordyce. The Dallas County Coroner pronounced the couple dead at the scene.
Following autopsies, ASCL medical examiners determined that Holly Parham's death was the result of homicide, while David Parham's death was ruled a su***de.
