The National Weather Service has issued an updated Winter Weather Advisory regarding today’s expected storm.

Snow is now forecast to begin this evening and continue into late Tuesday afternoon. 2-5” of mixed precipitation beginning with snow with periods of sleet and freezing rain is now expected.

Please make sure you are prepared with sufficient supplies of food, water and medicines so that you don’t have to travel when conditions are poor. Please check with your elderly or infirm neighbors to make sure they are prepared as well.

Please stay off the roads during the storm event unless absolutely necessary. Driving during storms puts the lives and health of our road crews, emergency service workers and police at risk and hampers their efforts to make roadways safe.
