FEBRUARY FUN ... featuring our friends Jim and Laurra Fitzgerald (yes, that's Laurra with two r's, just to be difficult 😜) and Kisa and Kevin Hancock. All denizens of the Tri-Lakes, and all seriously good people. We've also got "Love Stories" from a few local couples (just in time for Valentine's Day), along with a Business Profile article spotlighting Nathan and Barbi Carr (Carr Electric and Imago Dei Homeopathy ), with Marshmallow's Pet Corner featuring the aforementioned Hancock family's domestic menagerie. Andif that's not enough Hancock-age to suit you, we've got an educational AND entertaining (go figure!) Expert Contributor column from Kevin H. himself. Great subject matter, and great work by the team as always. See you next month!

DECEMBER'S CHILDREN (bonus points for anybody who nails the album reference without technical support) ... a lot of you are already familiar with P.K. and Reta Robinson's needs-no-embellishment story but if not, here you go (cover photo by Mike Searle). Gracing the last edition of Palmer Divide Living for 2024 are our friends Carol and Larry Chernin of Monument, with sweet photos by the inimitable Lynse Schmidt. Also included are an Expert Contributor column from the folks at A Better Hearing Center in Monument, a seasonally appropriate Marshmallow's Pet Corner, and scenes from goings-on around the area. Great work (as always) by editorial cat-herder Marissa Searle and graphic designer Brianna Fowler. And massive thanks to all y'all sponsors, without whom none of this monthly fun would be possible. Bless you, for real.

WELCOME TO THE MACHINE (a little Pink-hued reference, for all of you keeping score at home) ... thanks and congrats to my old buddy Trent Lage and Lianro Metal Roofs of Palmer Lake, our newest Palmer Divide Living sponsors. Headquartered in Palmer Lake, the Lianro name has been around here for a long time, and we're happy to help get the word out to anybody who missed the memo thus far. (Photo by Mike Searle)

P.S. What do you call an overhead product that protects infants (and attractive women) from the elements?

"Babe Roof," of course. We'll be here all week!

APRIL ARRIVALS in a mailbox near you ... congrats to this month's Kover Kids, namely Monument residents Larry and Carol Chernin and Cheryl Maul (with daughter Aubrey). You can find Larry's home renovation/remodel operation at RocksteadyEnterprises.com, and realtor Cheryl may be found at sellshomes.org. BIG-TIME CONGRATS to our inaugural cover subjects for 2024: Tri-Lakes Chamber of Commerce president and CEO Terri Hayes, and the regal-legal team of Brandi Jackson and Neil DeVoogd (Brandi goes first here due to her affiliation with the Vinton Law Firm, one of our much-appreciated sponsors). Great cover shots by our friends Krista Bobo and Herb Wetzel, as always. Also in the pages of our January editions are an Expert Contributor column from the good folks at A Better Hearing Center in Monument, Business Profile focusing on homeboy Logan Bryson and his LINE-X bedliner and truck accessories shop in Colorado Springs, a sneak preview of this Thursday's Stock Show kickoff cattle drive and a look at a few recent ribbon-cutting events around the neighborhood, and a recipe for some killer lemon chicken straight from Marissa's kitchen. Bon apetit, mes amies!

Have I told you all how much I love my little town?
We really have the best community.

Got a visit from the Wisconsin Cheese Curd peeps (omg. So good) they are at the Backyard Market here in Black Forest, delicious tea from Honey Tea & Me and of course I had to stop and visit Santa and Mrs. Clause over at Cotton Blossom Caramel, LLC. I was gonna fib and tell them that I have been a good girl - but, they know better 😂

Lili is also doing hair tinsel here at Lavender & Thyme: Holistic Skin Therapy!

Come visit us all here in the Forest today

Happy 1 Year Birthday to Palmer Divide Living Magazine!! Thank you to ALL our amazing sponsors who supported our community magazine. We have big plans for both our publications in 2023!

We are always looking for local businesses to partner with so we can add more content for our readers. We have added more homes to our Palmer Divide Map so more readers will be getting our publication for free.

We have plans to add in a kids corner, history page, and more!

And as always if you have pets you want Marshmallow to interview, events happening around town that you want in our Community Calendar for free, or you know of a good story you would like us to consider - please email Marissa at [email protected].

Here is to another wonderful year from all of us at the Palmer Divide & Monument Living family!

RUNNING OUTTA MONTH (again ... geez!), but we wanted to get in an 11th-hour salute to our double-cover couple for September, the lovely and talented Bill and Pam Hourigan of Woodmoor. Also known as Team Hourigan in real estate circles, they've been around here for three decades or so and have earned their place in our hearts and on these pages. Our September issues also include a pictorial hike in the hills above Palmer Lake with the inimitable Kerry Paige (aka Ashtōnz sax-meister), Expert Contributor columns from Dr. Travis Milliken of A Better Hearing Center and from Robb Soucek of Farmers Insurance, along with a Business Profile featuring Mary Kay rep Nita Godwin of Jackson Creek. More fun stuff, of course, coming up in October ... see you around the 'hood!
