As a trans man who’s often assumed not to be trans, I want to remind my friends, family, and followers to treat every trans person as if they were me. We’re not the stereotypes people imagine — we’re uncles, brothers, coworkers, gym bros, managers. We’re everyday people who want what everyone wants: peace, happiness, and a chance to live out our dreams.

I hope my story reminds you to see the next trans person simply as a person. On Transgender Day of Remembrance, I’m grateful to still be here — and I’ll keep honoring those who aren’t, and keep bridging the gap for those who don’t yet understand.

October is LGBTQ+ History Month, and it's got me thinking: What does living authentically mean to me right now?

To me, it 's continuing to be yourself anyway in a place where you're not understood.
It's choosing yourself- your peace, your happiness, your values-and keeping your actions aligned with those values.
Even when you feel unseen and unheard.

It's being so resilient that no matter what comes at you, you're able to take the lesson (or just say f it entirely), channel it towards growth and keep going.

It's knowing yourself so well that your confidence becomes contagious, so on to create the room your younger self wished to sit in.

Never shrink yourself- your younger self deserves to know the best version of you.
