Real farm food is a serious love of mine! I have catered & feed thousands of folks over the years! One thing that has always been my focus as simple ingredients make the lasting food experience!

This rare dish below was a food challenge! Tracy my friend brought me carrots & asked me to create a dish out of them! I created a pudding out of them that was rich that I served with bourbon butter sauce & caramel praline pecans & fresh cream! This will be in the cookbook!

Fall & winter stock up brings us all back into the kitchen! Gods bounty is in our storage for winter!

God gives each of us work to do for him. At times I struggled trying to see what he was needing me to do for him! Food people-flowers people - Vintage People- Every job has been about his people!

I have the gift of encouragement & the Lord has taught me thru the encouragers he has sent into my life! When I start my day I try to reflect on the love of others he has put on my heart, those who came for a moment & left & those who left their deep marks on my life!

As I write this so many folks who God allowed me to serve & encouraged came rushing into my thoughts! Also those he sent to me that hurt me!

In sharing this, we should always humble ourselves to say we are sorry, to not become bitter. I hope today you will reflect on your gifts .

Lord thank you for the people you have placed in my life to serve thru whatever gift that you have given me! Thank you Jesus! Prayers & healing to all who have met me.

As I think of roasting off five pumpkins this week to create real food! Yes we are so blessed to have our local farmers & beef producers!
Thank you Ashlee Gompert for the Pumpkins! Pumpkin is so much more than pie!

From pumpkin butter for your morning toast. It can be used in soup- pasta dried & raviolis
Sauces- breads- it adds warmth to the winter days coming & it is versatile! I plan on canning all five to enjoy!

We are blessed to have amazing ingredients that can truly feed us well!

As some of you know, I have been working on my cook book! Growing up on the farm, we learned how to take simple ingredients & turn it into more! So carrots became soup-cake- cookies-cabbage

Squash soups-salads-casseroles- I want you be encouraged that what you have in winter food you can eat well!

Welcome to November! Our gardens have been tucked in, and Winter hours have now begun at our Farm Stand. Open Saturdays only 11:00-2:00 (through the winter months). Located at 330 SA Road, Henry, NE (just 1 mile off Hwy 26).

With a chilly forecast the next couple of days, it inspired our kitchen to make chili! We will have beef chili AND white chicken chili heated up and served to-go with a fresh dinner roll.

This week from the gardens: still a few tomatoes, winter squash, decorative gourds, soup kits, onions, potatoes, carrots, garlic, cabbage, leeks, beets, radishes, jalapenos, kohlrabi, and always a forgotten surprise or two.

The kitchen has some goodies, too! Items available are: fresh soup, frozen soup, cabbage pockets, pumpkin cake with butter cream frosting, zucchini nut bread, banana bread, honey whole wheat bread, brownies, jumbo cookies, picante, pasta sauce, sriracha sauce, jam, and pancake syrup.

Located at 330 SA Road, Henry, NE. Winter Market hours, Saturday 11:00-2:00, November thru April.
