Out of town travel pool #9 — POTUS taking questions

He’s asked about the suspect’s vetting and the fact that the suspect worked with the CIA,: “He went cuckoo, he went nuts,” POTUS said, and then got into a fiery exchange with the reporter who pressed him about vetting, asking repeatedly if she was a “stupid person.”

“The family is devastated as you can imagine,” he said of the national guard member who died. He said hell be speaking with the family soon.

Out of town travel pool report #8 — POTUS chats with military members

POTUS says he has yet to eat his turkey dinner but tells the military members, “You can ask me any damn question you want.”

Now the service members on the screens are speaking to him, praising him, telling stories, and asking a few questions.

One military leader tells POTUS that illegal border crossings are at historic lows. POTUS was pleased that the man used his preferred term, “Gulf of America.”

A Marine speaking from Camp Santiago, Puerto Rico, spoke about some recent strikes and how the marines and sailors can support the president’s operation against narcoterrorists.

Another talked about reinforcing the embassy in Haiti and providing humanitarian support in Jamaica.

One woman asked what was the most memorable obstacle or hardship POTUS encountered in his life and how it shaped him into the leader he is today. He answered that it would probably be the “weaponization” of government against him “by my opponent” (meaning the previous president). He called it “a disgrace to our nation” and said “it’s being looked at very strongly.”

He said: “I was fighting for you, not just for myself.”

At the mention of Space Force, POTUS perked up, referring to it as “my baby.” He then claimed Biden wanted to “terminate” his baby because he somehow thought Space Force was “funny” but not it in a good way.

Trump said that the future of Space Force is “unlimited” and that Space Force members are just at the beginning of their powers.

Earlier, POTUS mused that Tom Cruise may be the last true movie star — unless you count Sylvester Stallone.

POTUS wrapped up his conversation with the military members at 7:14.

POTUS’s remarks mix his appreciation for the service members (he’s calling the men “handsome” and saying he’s happy to see how many women are in the coast guard these days) with more campaign style remarks about his anti-immigration stance and criticisms of Biden.

Out of town travel pool report #6 - call begins; POTUS speaks about shooting

Pool has been led into a smaller room where POTUS is seated alone at a table facing two large TV screens showing the military units to whom he is speaking; Trump began the call expressing remorse about yesterday’s shooting and revealed that one of the victims died.

“She was savagely attacked, she’s dead.”

He said the other victim, a man, is fighting for his life.

He called the suspect a “monster” and held up a photo of people cramming onto a plane in Afghanistan during the pullout under Biden.

“Here’s a picture, just take a look at that plane,” he said.

“This is what we had under the Biden administration.”

He is has now gone back to thanking the service members who are staring back at him silently from the tv screens in the room.

Out of town travel pool report #5 - pool enters Mar a Lago; POTUS appearing soon

The pool has been led into Mar-a-Lago. The president is set to appear shortly. He’s going to lead a call with various members of the armed forces to commemorate the Thanksgiving holiday. The White House sent some information about the military units that will be participating in the zoom call, and where those units are currently located on duty. They are all expected to be on the call at the same time, “Hollywood Squares” style.

Per the White House, those units are:
