In-Town Pool Report #7 - Homan gaggle

Border Czar Tom Homan spoke to reporters outside the White House for about 10 minutes.

Homan said he "cannot judge" a series of arcade-style video games the White House launched to promote Trump's agenda, including a game about Border Patrol picking up migrants along the border. "I haven't seen it," he said.

He said he does not know what the administration is planning regarding the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) program protections for Salvadorans. Those protections are set to expire Wednesday. He said the decision will be up to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, but added that El Salvador is a much safer country now.

When asked if ICE agents will have body cameras by the end of September, he said the cameras are being deployed but could not provide a clear timeline, only that "there is a plan" underway.

In-Town Pool Report #5 - POTUS remarks conclude / Medal of Freedom

POTUS spoke behind a protective glass at the outdoor event. His remarks concluded at 11:17 a.m. and he walked off stage at 11:18 a.m.

During the event, Trump said the U.S. Coast Guard will commission a brand new ship, the fast response cutter, in honor of Jeffrey Palazzo. POTUS said he helped negotiate the price.

POTUS also awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Welles Reny Crowther, an equities trader who saved several lives during 9/11 and whose legacy was featured in the 2017 documentary "Man in Red Bandana." The award was received by his mother, Allison and his sister, Paige.

"A while ago, I promised mom and sister that Wells was going to get the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and we didn't forget," Trump said.
