📖 SUPPORT INDEPENDENT COMMUNITY STORYTELLING

We've launched the first major fundraising campaign in Mount Gretna Magazine's history!

Since our debut, we've worked to celebrate the people, places, history, creativity, and connections that make Mount Gretna such a remarkable community.

Producing a high-quality magazine, maintaining a strong digital presence, and creating meaningful community experiences requires ongoing support. Our annual expenses now approach $60,000, funded through a mix of advertising and charitable giving.

To help sustain and strengthen this growing community resource, our goal is to raise $15,000–$20,000 by July 29.

Even better, the first $5,000 donated will be matched dollar for dollar through a generous matching gift challenge.

Giving levels begin at just $30—the equivalent of a one-year subscription—and every gift, large or small, helps support our mission as we continue building a sustainable magazine for the Mount Gretna community.

Suggested giving levels:
📚 $30 — Eager Reader
🏡 $100 — Good Neighbor
✍️ $500 — Storyteller
⭐ $1,000 — Community Champion

Please consider making a gift today and helping us continue to tell the stories that make Mount Gretna special.

Mount Gretna Borough celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, alongside the nation’s semiquincentennial (250th). That prompted us to launch our next Reader Voices question: "What would you put in a Mount Gretna time capsule to be opened 100 years from now?”

Share your thoughts via this form by Aug. 1:

We'll include any many answers as we can in our Fall issue.

📖 Summer Issue Available Starting July 11

Despite what you may hear about the media industry, print still rules in Mount Gretna!

Every issue, we hear from readers scrambling to find a copy, and with summer crowds arriving, demand is only going to increase. The post office is our busiest distribution site and often needs to be restocked multiple times a day. Yet just around the corner, copies at the Borough office tend to disappear much more slowly.

The good news? We offer nearly 30 distribution locations throughout the region.

Take a moment to review the full list, choose your favorite pickup spot, and plan your strategy before the Summer Issue arrives on July 11!

Every cottage in Mount Gretna has a story — and this one is filled with years of connection, memory, and meaning.

In “Where Peace and Blessings Abound,” we step inside a cottage that has become much more than a place to stay for one family—it’s part of how they experience Gretna itself.

A collection of Victorian doors, stained glass, and airplane cutouts adorn this Campmeeting cottage.
