Congratulations Jason Carter and Michael Cleveland. They lit up the night earlier this month at Watermelon Pickers' Fest. We'll deserved!
What a night! I’d say it was a pretty incredible birthday. and I were beyond honored to win Song of the Year and Collaborative Recording of the Year for “Outrun the Rain”… AND Album of the Year for [Carter and Cleveland]!
A huge thank you to all the fans, DJs, and professional members of IBMA who made this possible, and to all the amazing musicians and singers who gave their talents to our album. Extra thanks to Sean Sullivan and Mark Howard—two of the best recording engineers I’ve ever worked with—for capturing and shaping the sound the way they did.
One of the wildest moments of the night? The entire audience singing “Happy Birthday” to me. That might’ve been a first—and I’ll never forget it.
I’m grateful to each and every one of you for helping make this happen for Jason and me. Also, a huge thanks to my manager, Kimberly Williams at East Public Relations, and my booking agent, Dan Perino and everyone at the Kurland Agency for all you do.
