History has always been one of my favorite subjects. That’s why I’ve been loving this project with Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Lancaster. I’ve been digitizing centuries-old documents like pew records, deeds, and the church’s original constitution.

Three different videos, one process: here’s what goes on behind the edit.

I’m sharing three screenshots from recent commercial and nonprofit projects. Each timeline is different, but the goal is the same: clarity, storytelling, and impact. From color grading to timing every cut, the details matter more than you might think.

What I love most is that every project brings a new story and a new way to tell it. And if I get to strengthen my After Effects/motion graphics muscles along the way… even better.

Last week I took my first real vacation as a family with our 3-month-old son.

It was a new kind of rest. Slower mornings. Baby snuggles. Walks and plenty of diaper changes. All of it was a reminder of what really matters.

I’m incredibly grateful that the work I love—telling stories through video—also gives me the flexibility to pause, recharge, and be present with the people I care about most.

If you’re in the middle of the summer grind, I hope you find a moment to unplug, breathe, and reset. It’s worth it.

The best interview moments rarely come from a script.

When I sit down with someone for an interview, I don’t rush. I usually block off at least an hour, not just to ask questions, but to make space.

Space to be heard. Space to feel human.

Because real storytelling doesn’t happen in sound bites. It happens in the moments where someone feels safe enough to say what really matters.

Ever since I started working with non-profits, I knew they’d be my favorite clients.

It’s one thing to tell a story through video—but it’s something far more meaningful when that story helps amplify a mission that drives real impact.

I had the honor of working with Bridge of Hope, a nonprofit that’s actively working to end family homelessness.

Their latest campaign, Making Room, is about more than just housing—it’s about creating space in our communities and our hearts.

The initiative will expand affordable housing, serve more families, and launch Bridge of Hope in six new communities across the country.
