Our 8th writer announcement is John Eason! As our co-founder, John has been a part of the main SFH events as well as the monthly and quarterly writes. As those initiatives grow, we are always looking to expand to include new writers to the mix.

John Eason is a proud Air Force Veteran and Singer-Songwriter hailing from Minden, Louisiana. His original music has garnered commercial success driven by inclusion in playlists featuring prominent indie country artists such as Cody Jinks, as well as the shows he performs annually across the nation. John is also a brand ambassador for Shiloh Music based in Mt. Juliet, TN and an advocate for PTSD awareness. He actively supports veterans through musical events and volunteering.

John was recently nominated for Emergent Artist OTY & Song OTY for "Eulogy Of A Working Man" at the Josie Music Awards will take place the weekend before SFH 2025.

Some folks call his music Country, some call it Outlaw Country, and some call it Southern Rock.

He just calls it real.

Our 7th writer joining us this year in Nashville is Greg Raposo! This will be Greg's 2nd SFH event.

Platinum recording artist Greg Raposo began his professional music career at age 9 after winning Star Search. He built credits in movies, commercials, jingles, broadway productions and cast album recordings. As a young teen he was cast as a member in the early 2000’s popular boy band, Dream Street. As a solo artist Greg’s debut album charted on the Billboard Top 40 Independent charts. He’s toured around the world and has had opening acts such as Simple Plan, Jesse McCartney & The Jonas Brothers as well as having been direct support for artists such as Aaron Carter, Kelly Clarkson, O*Town, Ryan Cabrera & Britney Spears.

Aside from his solo career, Greg is also involved in group projects, including a reunited duo version of Dream Street and as a member in a country pop rock songwriting team known as “City Country." He also donates all music related income to charities.

"Eulogy Of A Working Man," a song Zach helped co-write with fellow SFH writers Hal ODell, John Eason and Joel Jorgensen, is nominated for Song Of The Year at the 2025 Josie Music Awards which will take place the weekend before SFH 2025.

Our 4th Songs For Heroes 2025 | Nashville, TN songwriter is Lance Wing! This will be his first time joining SFH.

Lance started playing drums in the mid '70's and guitar in the early '80's and went on to play and sing in many bands along the Gulf Coast between Panama City and Pensacola, Florida for years. He also started writing songs in the early 80's and by '92 had accumulated a fairly large catalog of his own songs. That's when he made the move with his family to Nashville to further pursue songwriting.

He had numerous songs recorded by many Independent Artists as well as by T. Graham Brown, Bobby Vinton, Bill Anderson, and The Jimmy Sturr Orchestra (including songs on four Grammy winning albums.) Lance wrote the title cuts on two of Jimmy Sturr's grammy winners, "Let's Polka 'Round" and "Polka In Paradise". Lance has also been a guest vocalist with the Jordanaires on two of Jimmy's albums. In addition to that, he's written songs (including the title theme song) on a award winning children's video series ('King Red and the Roar Into Action Kids').

Lance has also recorded and released songs himself. He had two songs chart on the 'Beach Music' scene of the East Coast ('Heat' and 'To A T') and currently has two other songs, ('Be My Lady' and 'Shagtime'), that he recorded as duets with Nicky Harris, getting airplay there. Lance recently wrote and recorded five songs for an upcoming reality television show titled "The Great Air Race". One of his current projects is a song he wrote and recorded with Elvis' legendary guitar player, James Burton.

The second songwriter reveal for Songs For Heroes 2025 | Nashville, TN is Jimmy Nash!

Native Nashvillian, Jimmy Nash, the son of two Grammy-winning songwriters, was immersed in songwriting from an early age. After being signed to a management deal by Andra Dalto (Hank III), Nash relocated to L.A.

Nash’s debut album, “The Road to 33,” blended Country, Rock, & Pop. It was produced by Todd Hannigan (Jack Johnson), & picked as “New & Noteworthy” by iTunes.

Working in multiple genres, Nash has received TV placements, most recently on MTV’s “Teen Mom 2” with the song, “We Are Made Of Stars.”

Aside from his own releases, Nash loves writing with other rising artists. His latest work with sister duo, American Blonde, has received multiple features on Spotify’s “Fresh Finds Country” & “New Music Nashville,” with the song, “Quicksand,” breaking into the top 40 on the Billboard Indicator Charts.

Nash’s latest release, “Kansas,” is available now.

He also produced a new EP on his father, Bill Nash, entitled, “Oh, Hank.” The EP celebrates the musical legacy & artistic style of Hank Williams, as well as Bill’s 70+ years in music. The lead single, “Locked In Your Lovin’ Arms,” written & produced by Jimmy, is available now.

Currently living in St Pete, FL, when not busy writing or singing, Nash loves to surf, golf, learn new languages, and help his family’s charity, Champions Kids Camp.
