I love how this turned out. Every once in awhile I do a special scrapbook layout that is very time consuming. The pics were perfect for this project and paper. Some of the flowers and leaves are die cut, stamped and then water colored - which is a technique I'd never done before (the watercolor). For now these are in my books but one day, these pages will go to my grandkids so I try to feature a certain child each time. I'm so glad her dad captured this fun moment. 🩷

Almost every year I end up posting a picture of my apple crisp and everyone asks for the recipe so I'm just going to include it. This is from my Betty Crocker cookbook I got 40 years ago. As you can see I made a few tweaks. I don't like the flavor of nutmeg in it and I don't like too much cinnamon so I only use a few shakes instead of a quarter teaspoon. My other tips are I use tart apples because that makes a perfect sweet and tart balance and I use a pastry blender or fork to get the crisp into little clumps. I do not apple crisp that isn't actually crisp on top and this one is perfect! You're welcome! ❤️ P.S. Be sure to come back and let me know if you try it and what you think!

I just updated my team page cover photo and I am reflecting on this journey we have all had together as leaders in Chalk Couture. It's hard to believe that it was a little over 6 years ago that I half-heartedly ordered a business starter kit, not really expecting much as I had gone through some huge highs and lows in the direct sales industry. I had no idea how much it would change my life and because of my decision, so many others. Thousands of women (mostly) have been part of my team over the past 6 years. Some just to get some crafting supplies at a discount, some to have a little side gig, and some to create a serious business. These women are the ones that rose to the top and have stayed the course, still leading teams and each one is still an integral and important part of my team. As are each and every designer that makes up their teams as well. But being a leader takes extra effort and commitment and these amazing women have shown that over an over. I am blessed to have them in my life.
