For a long time, I thought consistency meant doing everything perfectly.
Following the same routine. Working out at the same gym. Sleeping in my own bed. Having complete control over my schedule.
But life doesn’t work that way.
As I’m spending the next couple of weeks at Annual Training with the Army National Guard, I’m being reminded that schedules change, environments change, and responsibilities change.
What I’m learning is that consistency looks less like perfection and more like keeping promises to yourself.
The promise to move your body.
The promise to prioritize your wellness.
The promise to slow down.
The promise to make time for the things that help you feel like you.
Even when you’re away from home.
The habits that matter most are the ones you can take with you.
