In 2002 this area looked a lot different back then im not sure can't remember if the gas station was there but the bank was Western Sizzlin and there was a car was where those storage unit sit
A murder accured inside the Western Sizzlin back in 2002 Sean Gregg was killed during his shift
The place closed aand property wa sold and now sits the bank.

And on another note there as a KFC in this area at one point

Mount Vernon before Netflex and Chill and all the streaming we had to go to the video store and hope they have the new release you wanted and the main video stores once i moved here was blockbuster Videotime think Kroger had video long time ago and one of the last to come along was family video

Known as one of the oldest drug stores in Illinois operated by the same family for decades

This was a historic local business here in Mt. Vernon
