SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA FLOOD UPDATES -- 12/11/2025 as of 1830 PT

City of Arlington:
Flood Waters receding as of 1648 PT
⚠️Update: Water Levels Recede back into Normal range
We are pleased to report that within Arlington city limits, water levels have drastically receded, with predictions showing they will fall into the normal range this evening. This greatly improves our local outlook within city limits. However, some surrounding areas in the county remain in major flood zones, so please exercise caution and avoid these affected regions if possible. Thanks to our area's first responders and community partners, who have been working tirelessly to maintain public safety and ensure clear communication. Thank you to the residents of Arlington; your cooperation has been critical in ensuring everyone's safety. Please continue to stay informed through official channels and exercise caution, especially if traveling to flood-impacted areas.

City of Everett:
Monitoring Update: 5:45 p.m.
We continue to closely monitor Snohomish River levels this evening, particularly the low-lying area near the bridge leading to The Overlook.

At this time, no evacuation orders are in place for Everett. Residences in the Riverfront area sit at a higher elevation than the low point on the bridge, which is the specific area we’re watching for any potential impacts.

Flooding conditions can change quickly. Significant issues—such as unexpected debris damming or overtopping of a levee or dike—could alter the situation. Even though the rains seem to be lessening, there is still a very large volume of water coming into the Snohomish River from high up in the watershed and will for some time. This additional water, travelling at high rates, increases not only the elevation of the river but also the energy and force at which it is flowing.

Our Emergency Operations Center remains activated and in regular communication with regional partners. If conditions change and an evacuation is needed, we will notify residents immediately.
To report water, sewer, or other storm-related problems, call the City of Everett’s 24-hour dispatch at 425-257-8821.

We also have two sandbag fill locations available: everettwa.gov/sandbags (please note: you must bring your own shovel).

Please continue to stay alert, avoid flooded roadways, and follow updates here and the alert on our website: everettwa.gov

Snohomish County Sheriff's Office:
Road Closures
Dozens of roads are closed throughout Snohomish County due to multiple days of rain and flooding. If you come across a flooded roadway: remember, turn around, don’t drown! Floodwaters are often much deeper than they appear. Check the Snohomish County Road Closure map for road closure updates: https://bit.ly/SnoCoRoadsClosedMap. Follow on X for road closure updates. And keep your eyes on the Public Safety Hub for additional updates throughout this storm: https://bit.ly/snocoflooding

penalties for going around signs. Ignore the sign, pay the fine! Going around a Road Closed sign carries a $437 penalty, and no dollar amount is worth ruining your vehicle or, worse, risking your life in flooded waters. Flooded and hazardous roadways are closed for your safety. Please keep this in mind whenever you approach a Road Closed sign. (Source: SCSO)

Road Closures
Crews move fast, but water can rise faster, so signs aren’t always in place yet. If you see a flooded roadway, turn around, don’t drown! And never pass a road closed sign.

SKAGIT COUNTY, WA FLOOD UPDATES
12/11/2025 as of 1810 PT

DANGER ALERT!
Hearing reports about people with their kids standing around the Skagit River banks in downtown Mount Vernon and around. This is not only dangerous but could take lives. Not only that, this could put first responders' lives in danger trying to rescue you. This takes resources from other needed life-saving areas.

If you see a road closed sign, it is there for a reason to save your life and those who may be traveling with you. Again, you drive through it - you and your passengers could drown. It is not worth it. Remember the iconic phrase

🚨 Community Help Needed – Sandbag Volunteers
D**e District #12 is asking for volunteers to help stack sandbags. If you're able, head to 1317 S Anacortes St, Burlington. Every level of help matters - filling sandbags, carrying bags, handing out supplies, or simply supporting volunteers. (Source: Burlington Parks & Rec) https://www.facebook.com/BurlingtonParksandRec

Store Closures: Haggen, Fred Meyer, Target, and Costco (Source: Local Media)

Searchable floodplain Map
The map has been added to the county website. https://www.skagitcounty.net/Maps/iMap/...
You can now find the FEMA 100-year floodplain on Skagit County’s iMap, a web-based, searchable GIS application. Using the search feature, you can find your property on the floodplain map.
Please note that this map will roughly show whether a property is in the 100-year floodplain, but it is not a perfect predictor of where floodwaters may go. As a reminder, everyone living in the 100-year floodplain will likely receive an evacuation notice today (if you haven’t already).

CITY OF SEDRO-WOOLLEY (Source: Skagit County Govt)
1538 PT -- 🚧 Road Closures
All previously closed roads inside Sedro-Woolley remain closed at this time.
There are 2 additional major closures:
❌ State Route 9
CLOSED south of South Skagit Highway.
➡️ No detour is available. This road cannot be used as an evacuation route.
❌ State Route 20
CLOSED at Collins Road.
➡️ Detour is available via Cook Road using Collins Road.
⚠️ Important Safety Reminder
We are seeing a large number of lookie-loos out on the roads. This is extremely dangerous. With routes closing rapidly, many may become trapped with no evacuation route available.
If you do not need to be out, please stay away from closed areas.
If you feel unsafe or conditions are changing near your home, use common sense and leave early while evacuation routes are still open. Floodwater is unpredictable, fast-moving, and far more dangerous than it looks.

--> Do NOT drive around barricades and never attempt to drive through water on the roadway. For updated road information:

Follow this link to Subscribe or Unsubscribe to road closure information directly from Skagit County Public Works. Information about road conditions outside, but affecting Skagit County motorists, will also be published.

Skagit County has ordered Mount Vernon and the upriver communities of Hamilton, Rockport, Marblemount, and Concrete to evacuate to high ground as soon as possible. Everyone in Skagit County living in the 100-year floodplain will likely receive an evacuation notice today.

--> Check if your property is in the floodplain:
