⚠️Update: Water Levels Recede back into Normal range
We are pleased to report that within Arlington city limits, water levels have drastically receded, with predictions showing they will fall into the normal range this evening. This greatly improves our local outlook within city limits. However, some surrounding areas in the county remain in major flood zones, so please exercise caution and avoid these affected regions if possible. Thanks to our area's first responders and community partners, who have been working tirelessly to maintain public safety and ensure clear communication. Thank you to the residents of Arlington; your cooperation has been critical in ensuring everyone's safety. Please continue to stay informed through official channels and exercise caution, especially if traveling to flood-impacted areas.
City of Everett:
Monitoring Update: 5:45 p.m.
We continue to closely monitor Snohomish River levels this evening, particularly the low-lying area near the bridge leading to The Overlook.
At this time, no evacuation orders are in place for Everett. Residences in the Riverfront area sit at a higher elevation than the low point on the bridge, which is the specific area we’re watching for any potential impacts.
Flooding conditions can change quickly. Significant issues—such as unexpected debris damming or overtopping of a levee or dike—could alter the situation. Even though the rains seem to be lessening, there is still a very large volume of water coming into the Snohomish River from high up in the watershed and will for some time. This additional water, travelling at high rates, increases not only the elevation of the river but also the energy and force at which it is flowing.
Our Emergency Operations Center remains activated and in regular communication with regional partners. If conditions change and an evacuation is needed, we will notify residents immediately.
To report water, sewer, or other storm-related problems, call the City of Everett’s 24-hour dispatch at 425-257-8821.
We also have two sandbag fill locations available: everettwa.gov/sandbags (please note: you must bring your own shovel).
Please continue to stay alert, avoid flooded roadways, and follow updates here and the alert on our website: everettwa.gov
