Jeffrey Howard Lisech
October 6, 1977 — August 13, 2025

Jeffrey Howard Lisech completed his earthly journey on August 13, 2025. Though we grieve, we rejoice knowing Jeff is now in the presence of Jesus, reunited with his mother, grandparents, and other loved ones. There are no tears in Heaven.

Jeff knew the Lord personally. Like all of us, he had his struggles, but his faith was real. He would want everyone reading this to consider the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ - the only way to eternal life.

Though Jeff lived far away in Alaska for many years, he never missed a Lisech family reunion and loved his family deeply - especially his father, Howard, whom he affectionately called his “hero.”

Jeff had a heart for people and made friends wherever he went. He loved to travel, often saying, “I’ve been there,” while watching the Travel Channel. He went on short-term mission trips and traveled with a church in Orlando to serve in countries across the globe. He even took a few trips to Hawaii to escape the Alaskan cold.

Now, Jeff has taken the most incredible journey of all - from a broken world to a perfect Heaven. He is finally home.

Jeff is survived by: his father, Howard Lisech of Mountain Home, Arkansas; sister, Sherri Means (Mountain Home, AR); brothers: Scott (Fredericksburg, VA), Bryan (St. Peters, MO), and Aaron (Portland, OR); and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: his mother, Bonnie Lisech; and uncle, Clinton Ryan.

His parents were longtime volunteers with Samaritan’s Purse/Operation Christmas Child, a ministry close to their hearts. Back in December our family placed Bonnie's funeral urn.

In late Feb., my son Jeff, my cousin Charles, and I had the privilege of placing Bonnie's marker in our family cemetery near Charity, MO.

We are still filling orders for our Bible curriculum and STM materials that she was such a big part of developing. Her work lives on!🥰

Bonnie Bell Lisech
January 21, 1944 — November 8, 2024

Bonnie Bell Ryan Lisech, 80 yrs, of Mountain Home, AR, passed away at 5:44 am on November 8, 2024 at her home. Bonnie was born in Rocky Mount, NC, to Joseph “Joe” and Esther Nonemaker Ryan on January 21, 1944. She graduated High School in Springfield, MO. She attended Southwest Missouri State College and met her future husband Howard on her very first day. He was a student, working there, giving entrance exams. They were married the following year. Bonnie served with Howard in Papua New Guinea as a missionary in the 1970s. After returning home due to illness, they continued serving with missions agencies mobilizing and training over 1,000 8-week Short-Term Missions team members. She wrote Missions Bible studies, High School and Jr. High Bible curriculum, and discipled women in weekly Bible studies.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Howard of Mountain Home, AR; sons, Scott of Fredricksburg, VA, Bryan of St. Peters, MO, Aaron of Portland, OR, Jeff of Mountain Home, AR; and daughter Sherri Lisech Means of Mountain Home, AR. Bonnie has 11 grandchildren, Andrew Lisech, Daniel Lisech, Anna Lisech Snow, Nathan Lisech, Kathryn Lisech Goodrich, Brianna Lisech Chacko, Azelin Means, Jessalin Means, Colton Means, Lance Lisech, and Elora Lisech; and 2 great grandchildren, Wi******er Goodrich and Ember Goodrich. Her nephews, are Michael Ryan and Willis Ryan.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Joe Ryan and Esther Nonemaker Ryan, her sister, Winnie Ryan, and her brother, Clinton Ryan.

Memorial Service will be held at Village Bible Church, 22 Caxambas Drive, Cherokee Village, AR 72529 on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at 3:30 p.m with Pastor Philip Pinto officiating. On Monday, December 2, 2024, her funeral urn will be buried in a family ceremony at the Green Mountain Cemetery, near Charity, MO.

Bonnie’s heart was always evident in desiring to reach unreached people for Christ worldwide. She and her husband Howard served in missions overseas and stateside for a good part of their lives. Bonnie's favorite ministry was Samaritan's Purse/Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. If you want to honor her by participating, below is the link. The gospel is presented to every child before they open their shoebox and Bonnie's life of ministry can be extended if you choose to participate. "Every shoebox changes a child's life!"
