With a significant rain event forecast to impact Southern California this week, the City of Murrieta and Murrieta Fire & Rescue are taking proactive measures to ensure public safety and mitigate potential flooding. Heavy rainfall is expected to begin on Tuesday afternoon and continue through the holiday week.

Update: the fire is out and all roadways are open

Structure fire.

40798 Los Alamos Road.

Murrieta Fire and Rescue is currently on scene with our officers regarding a structure fire at a commercial building. The fire seems to be contained, however, smoke is visible in our city.

Please avoid the area.

Gas line break!

***Update: The gas leak has been resolved and all areas are now open***

🚨 Traffic & Safety Alert 🚨

There is a gas line break at 39525 Los Alamos Road. Murrieta Fire & Rescue personnel are on scene, and SoCal Gas is en route to address the issue. As a result, all businesses between Grocery Outlet and Friends of the Murrieta Library in the complex are closed and being evacuated.

For your safety, please avoid the area and use alternate routes until the situation is resolved. Updates will be shared as they become available.
