Flooded streets might look harmless, but here’s what most people don’t realize:

🌊 Just 6 inches of water can cause you to lose control of your vehicle.
🌊 12 inches can float most small cars.
🌊 24 inches can sweep away trucks and SUVs.
🌊 You can’t see road damage or open manholes beneath the surface.

Never risk it. No location, no destination, and no vehicle is worth your life.

If the road is flooded — turn around, don’t drown.
We see this happen too often during storm recovery. Stay alert and stay safe.

A few photos from our 11-day flood recovery operation in Center Point, Texas. These images only scratch the surface of what our teams encountered — submerged vehicles, torn-apart lives, and the slow process of helping families move forward.

Some of our team has returned home to regroup, but others are still out there, continuing the mission with everything they’ve got.

I’m Casey Billings, Search and Rescue Team Leader for Team Dominator Storm Recovery, and the operator of SAR-1.

I work closely with Reed Timmer Extreme Meteorologist and deploy directly behind the Dominator during storm intercepts — but my mission begins after the storm passes.

As part of Team Dominator, I lead ground operations focused on disaster recovery, search and rescue, and flood response — fully powered by the incredible support of the United Cajun Navy. We go where we’re needed most, delivering real help in real time.

We also rely on real-time weather intelligence from our forecasting partners at Wicked Weather, and stay in close coordination with drone teams, dive crews, first responders, and other chasers on the ground.

This isn’t for headlines — it’s for the people.
