Looking for something different after all the holiday meals we tried out Super Ali Baba's a recently opened Uzbek restaurant! It’s a casual place with a ‘hole in the wall’ feel and their focus on authentic food. Our server was the owners son, he made us feel very welcome and helped us pick out dishes to try but I will note not everything on the menu was available so it may be best to call ahead if looking for something specific. Between the complimentary Uzbek tea service and delicious traditional dishes we left impressed and would recommend trying it if you’re feeling adventurous!
We tried:
- Uzbek Tea served with crystal sugar sticks and sliced lemon 🍋🫖
- Beef Samsa (housemade meat pie)
- Lagman Noodle Soup (tomato, meat, noodles, vegetables) 🍜
- Chicken Kebab
- Non Bread
- Medovik (housemade honey cake) 🍯

Earlier this month we checked out the newly opened Notte Del Vino Wine Bar & Kitchen! It is hidden in rhe strip mall located at 1470 S Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577. The meal was delicious and we loved the cozy speakeasy atmosphere inside. Menu pictures with prices are included below, it is an expensive spot but we will be back. Highly recommend getting the housemade Bread Pudding 😍.
We tried:
- Prosciutto and Manchego Crostini with fig jam
- Mommessin Beaujolais Villages “Gamay” Red Wine
- 8oz Filet with Garlic Butter
- Pan Seared Haddock with Lemon Dill Butter Sauce
- Whiskey Bread Pudding and Icecream

Holidays are here at Crooked Hammock Brewery!🍻🎄
They’re fully decked out in festive Christmas decor and there is a 100% chance of “snow” ❄️ falling every Friday through Sunday which is such a fun touch for the kids.
Our favorite seasonal dishes were the super tender short ribs and Caribbean Snowflake hot chocolate paired with fireside s’mores 🔥☕️

We tried:
- Autumn Whiskey Sour Cocktail and Sand in My Schwartz Beer 🍹🍺
- Caprese Crostini with tomato, mozzarella, basil, olive oil and balsamic
- Braised Short Rib with mushroom demi-glace, garlic parm mashed potatoes and crispy brussels sprouts
- Yuletide Burger with brie, caramelized onions, bacon, lettuce and cranberry mayo 🍔
- Caribbean Snowflake Hot Chocolate
- Fireside S’mores 🔥

Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers opens in Conway, SC today! 🍔🎉
2889 US-501, Conway, SC 29526

We were able to stop by last night for their friends & family event and I tried out the Prime Rib Steakburger with cheese curds and a mini Oreo concrete. Everything was delicious, came out super fast, and the team was so friendly.

If you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth checking out!

A wonderful new addition to the Surfside Beach pier, The Whistling Duck Wine Bar is open🍷! We tried out their trio of bruschetta and Irish Delight charcuterie board on our visit. Both were beautifully plated and delicious. Can’t beat those beautiful sunset 🌅 views as well.

We checked out Abuelo’s new holiday menu this week! Every dish was a standout and flavorful for the winter season. ❄️🔥

Spicy Mango Margarita - Gran Centenario Silver Tequila, mango habanero purée, fresh lime, chamoy & tajín rim. Sweet, spicy, and refreshing!

Pork Green Pozole - Pork pozole in green chile soup with cilantro lime rice, purple cabbage, queso fresco, jalapeños, avocado, onions & cilantro. Comfort in a bowl. 💖

Steak & Shrimp Mojo de Ajo - Sirloin topped with shrimp in a Mexican-style garlic butter mojo de ajo sauce. Served with cheesy mashed potatoes and spinach. SO good!

Capirotada - Mexican bread pudding topped with sweet cream sauce, caramel, and whipped topping.

Breakfast at the newly opened First Watch in Carolina Forest this morning! We tried the Bacado Omelette (bacon, avocado, Monterrey jack cheese) $14.79 and a Roast Beef & Harvarti Sandwich $14.99. Both were delicious 🍳 and service was great! We didn’t love that their coffee and juice prices were not listed on the menu, hopefully they will add them in the future.

Dinner at a local favorite Villa Romana Italian Restaurant 🍝! It is a well loved, decades old spot with a cozy atmosphere and is almost always a little busy even in the off season.

Their brushcetta, fresh bread with marinara, house-made soup, Italian salad, and a side of house-made spaghetti are all included in the entree price! We were both impressed with the flavor of our entrees the Veal Saltimbocca ($29.75) and Stuffed Chicken Fiorentina ($28.75). We will absolutely visit again. 🌟🇮🇹

The first day of Mythical & Medieval Fest - Myrtle Beach ⚔️👑! This event will be going on today 11/9, and next weekend as well. Lots of fun shows, vendors, and people watching 🏰! The festival raises money for the local charity Caleb’s Dragonfly Dreams which supports children in group homes and shelters 💓.
